Circe's Vision Explained

The future of the DCU looks bleak

Circe's vision in Creature Commandos episode 4

Taken back to Belle Reve, Amanda Waller interrogates Circe to find out why she was invading Pokolistan and wanted to kill Princess Illana in the first place. The Amazonian responds that “Not even the devil wants to see the world die”, confirming that she was trying to save everyone's lives after receiving a dark vision of the future. To that end, Circe shares this dark vision with Waller, who is so shaken afterwards that she calls in an Amazon expert to confirm the sorceress's clairvoyance before sending Task Fore M back to kill Ilana and save the world.

In the vision, Waller sees a future where Illana will gather a large army of knights to attack the United States. She also allied herself with Gorilla Grodd, presumably to attack the minds of her enemies, thanks to her powerful psionic abilities. Shown dropping bombs on cities and taking control of the White House, the vision ends with Illana laughing over a mountain of skulls with several superheroes on stakes.

The fallen heroes include David Corenswet's Superman, John Cena's Peacemaker, Isabela Merced's Hawkgirl, and Milly Alcock's Supergirl. Likewise, there are even heroes who have not yet been cast in the new DCU, such as Batman, Wonder Woman, Starfire, Robin, Martian Manhunter and many more.. As such, it's no wonder that Waller immediately sends the Commandos back to Pokolistan once she confirms the validity of Circe's vision of the future.

The Weasel's True Origins Explained

(The Suicide Squad lied to us)

Creature Commandos Episode 4 Weasel Backstory

Even more tragic than the DCUs' potential dark future is the past of Weasel, aka John Monroe.. Prompted by the arrival of his lawyer, flashbacks reveal that DC's Weasel had no malicious intentions when he encountered 8 children who gave him snacks and played with him. However, an old man nearby saw Weasel and the children entering a school. Misinterpreting the situation, considering that the children are in danger, the armed man calls the police before entering the school to “save” the children. The children themselves accidentally start a fire while playing with Weasel, which only grows and consumes the entire building after the man opens fire, causing a full-blown explosion.

While a girl survives the explosion, Weasel is unable to save her due to the arrival of the police who also open fire and arrest him, unaware that the girl is still alive despite his screams and efforts to get back to her. As such, it's an extremely moving origin for Weasel, one that proves just how misunderstood he's always been since 2021. The Suicide Squad. It's tragically well-written and is more than likely “the saddest thing Gun has ever written,” as has been teased by the head of DC Studios in previous interviews. Creature Commands debut.
