How to get the rebreather in Indiana Jones and The Great Circle

To resolve the “Serpent's Chest” Mystery in Indiana Jones and the Great Circleyou need to get a special item called Rebreather. This tool allows Indiana to breathe underwater, but it is extremely expensive compared to other items you can buy. Because of the price, you need to find a way to raise enough money to purchase the Rebreather before you can use it.

There are several different types of currency that you can collect throughout your adventures. The Rebreather costs Bonesa rarer type of currency, much more uncommon than pounds or euros, that can help you purchase items from multiple vendors. The more mysteries and side quests there are Indiana Jones and TGC you complete, the more coin collections you will accumulate as you progress through the story.

Where to find the rebreather

Discover the right supplier

The Rebreather is found in Sukhothai villagean area you can reach naturally through the game's story. Upon arriving at this location, look for a supplier called Tongdang. After a brief cutscene introducing you to the vendor, he offers the Rebreather for an expensive 798 Boneswhich supposedly has a very generous discount.

Those who find Tongdang will be able to sell useless items in your inventory to get enough bonesbut some players may still fall short. Tongdang has other useful items for sale, but you'll want to save as many bones as possible until you can buy the Rebreather first.

How to get money in Sukhothai

Steal some money from someone else

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle stealing Voss's gold to buy Rebreather

Anyone who doesn't have enough money for the Rebreather will begin an optional side quest called “Steal Voss's gold.” This local Sukhothai villain has been terrorizing the Village, so no one would be disappointed if he lost all the gold they stole. Pursuing Voss's fieldwork will give you more than enough bones to purchase the Rebreatheralong with some other items from Tongdang.

Don't worry about Tongdang selling the Rebreather to someone else, as the seller holds it for Indiana after you express interest in it.

Completing this fieldwork before the main quests will allow you to quickly accumulate money in whatever region you are in. To get Voss's gold you need travel to Voss's camp and find the safe where he keeps his money. This area is heavily guarded, so it may take some time to defeat or sneak past all of the enemies guarding the place.

Ironically, this is the same place where you'll find the Serpent's Chest, so it's worth traveling to Voss's camp even if you have enough money to buy the Rebreather. The Serpent's Chest is linked to one of the greatest mysteries of Indiana Jones and TGCwith some of the best rewards. To unlock the Serpent's Chest, you need to find three keys called:

  • The ancient key to the Vatican
  • The Ancient Key of Gizeh
  • The Ancient Key of Shanghai

Once you have Voss's gold, simply return to Tongdang to purchase the Rebreather, which can be used whenever you jump into bodies of water. From this point on, new mechanics open up for exploring underwater areas, allowing you to find secrets that you wouldn't be able to access normally. However, this is not an invitation to be reckless, as you still have a limited air supply this simply has a higher maximum when using the Rebreather.

New enemies also abound underwater, including Indiana's greatest enemies – snakes. Be careful to check for air pockets and swim fast when you need to avoid enemies to avoid taking too much damage when swimming with the Rebreather. Both of these tricks are crucial when you try to search for the Ancient Keys needed to open the Serpent's Chest.

You do not gain any clues as to the location of an Ancient Key by obtaining the Rebreatherso you need to explore different regions to find them. Some locations are only unlocked by progressing through the main story, so don't forget to catch up on the narrative from time to time. After placing the Rebreather Indiana Jones and the Great Circleyou will have a lot more to do and a lot more areas to explore.
