The Bachelor season 29 star Grant Ellis was one of the most beloved Bachelorette party contestants in the show's history, but, now that The Golden Bachelorof Gerry Turner was diagnosed with cancer, the producers will be looking for a new villain, and I'm worried they'll make Grant their new villain. After Grant appeared on Jenn Tran's show Bachelorette party season, Bachelor The nation was so enamored with him that he was the obvious choice to be the next Bachelor.
The Bachelor season 29 follows Joey Graziadei Bachelor season, during which Joey was hailed as a hero who saved the franchise after Gerry's disastrous attack Golden Bachelor season, which ended with his divorce from Theresa Nist. However, now that Gerry has revealed that he has an incurable form of bone marrow cancer, the Bachelor the producers will probably give up on making him the villain and look for a new villain. I'm worried about Grant because There are already signs that he is the next target.
Grant appears to be an indecisive bachelor
Although I know that Bachelor promotions can be deceiving, I'm very concerned about how Grant is being portrayed in his. On Jenn's season, Grant knew exactly what he wanted: to be a husband and father. He was sweet, kind, caring and loving. Most importantly, he was open with his feelings. Grant was the perfect choice to be the next Bachelor because of this.
Grant Bachelor promotion, shared via The Bachelor The Instagram page starts with women raving about him. It then shows him saying he is ready for marriage and children. However, it quickly turns into a chaotic whirlwind of drama. The women are shown arguing, which in itself is worrying, but it's the end of the promo that worries me the most. Grant is shown telling Joey that he didn't know how hard it would be for him to be single. He says his biggest fear is ending up alone.
Grant is then seen showing one of the women a tattoo of a lone wolf on his arm, and he says it symbolizes being alone. He then says in his confessional that his family didn't know he felt lonely when he was a child and adds that he no longer wants the feeling of loneliness to be a theme in his life.. Grant then states, “I want to be happy. I want to have love. It's something important to me. But I'm afraid of making the wrong decision.”
I want to be happy. I want to have love. It's something that's important to me. But I'm afraid of making the wrong decision.
The next scene shows host Jesse Palmer at the last rose ceremony, asking Grant if he feels like he knows what he wants to do. Grant responds, “The truth is… I don’t know.“ Jesse then tells Grant that they have both women on standby and that he needs to know which one to send first. The promo ends with Grant looking distressed.
This promo was created before Gerry announced he had cancer, but now I'm worried it's a sign that the producers will work even harder to make Grant their next villain. It's shocking to me that Grant, who was always so sure of what he wanted, had trouble making a decision at the end of the season.. It feels fake and forced. This makes Grant look like a heartbreaker who will devastate his runner-up by inducting her, or who will leave the show alone. The Bachelor it leads to failure with its ridiculous format, and I don't want to see Grant's reputation ruined because of it.
Former Bachelor Villains' Lives Were Ruined
Many never recovered from the way they were portrayed
In addition to Gerry, many others Bachelor the protagonists had their lives ruined after appearing on the program. They can't live up to the high expectations of being single, so they end up disappointing their fans. Of course, some exhibited some bad behavior, but the endless backlash that came after the show was excessive.
The first Bachelor villain was indisputably Jason Mesnickwhich ended with his final choice, Melissa Rycroft, for his runner-up, Molly Malaney, who is now his wife. Jason has since restored his reputation, but it was a shocking moment for The bachelor. The next bandit was Brad Womackthat shocked Bachelor Nation when he didn't choose either of his final two women and left the show alone. His reputation was further damaged when he returned for a second season, but he and his winner, Emily Maynard, split during the run. Although they got back together, they ultimately broke up shortly after the finale.
Other Bachelor villains include Jake Pavelka and Juan Pablo Galavisboth known for their tough personalities. Although he is now loved, Ben Higgins was also portrayed as a villain when he told winner Lauren Bushnell and runner-up JoJo Fletcher that he loved them, which was a first for the show. This has now become the norm for most Bachelor it takes, but I don't like it.
Arie Luyendyk Jr. followed in Jason's footsteps and swapped winner Becca Kufrin for runner-up Lauren Burnham, who he is now married to. Colton Underwood was heavily criticized for coming out as gay after his season because some people thought he misled his contestants. Clayton Echard was defamed for telling Gabby Windey, Rachel Recchia and Susie Evans that he loved them and revealing that he was intimate with Gabby and Rachel in their Fantasy Suites. Furthermore, Zach Shallcross revealed the details of his Fantasy Suite with Gabi Elnicki, which many fans, including myself, found very disrespectful.
After seeing how The Bachelor destroyed these men's reputations, I'm worried about Grant. The producers are going to need a new villain now that they're moving away from Gerry, and he already appears to be the target. If Grant steps out of line, producers will jump at the chance to cast him as the villain. It's so unfair to Grant to make him seem indecisive, especially if the producers are just manipulating what happened to make a dramatic promo. This will influence people's opinion of him before his Bachelor the season until it premieres.
After Joey's perfect season, I think the Bachelor producers will be looking for something more controversial for the show, and Grant could be their next victim. With Zach and Joey's seasons ending with successful engagements, producers may want something more outrageous to happen to create buzz for the show. I don't trust them to protect Grant. I hope Grant Bachelor season is a success, and he finds the love of his lifebut I feel like the producers are focusing on the wrong things because, as always, they only think about their own interests.
