Peaky Blinders Movie Story Details

How will the film conclude the story?

Tommy Shelby (Cillian Murphy) sitting in a chair and staring blankly in Peaky Blinders.

Something Knight revealed (via Radio times) about the Peaky Blinders film is what the story is”about a kind of untold story that took place in World War II, in which Peakys will be involved.” It was always maintained that the start of World War II would mark a natural end for the seriesso it will be fascinating to see what creative spark led Knight to want to explore beyond that.

In terms of the complex protagonist, Knight always imagined an ending for Tommy, where he would be redeemed and is no longer the great evil (via Subway). Season 6 of Peaky Blinders addressed Tommy's redemption as well as his guilt for “crossing the line” by killing Michael. Although this was said outside the context of the Peaky Blinders film, it seems inevitable that this path of redemption will continue for Tommy.
