She is credited with rescuing at least 70 people individually, but the intelligence provided by her massive spy network contributed to the emancipation of countless others. She also participated in historic raids on Harper's Ferry and Combahee Ferry, convincing many of those freed to join the Union side in the Civil War. Later in life, she advocated for women's suffrage and has since become a revered figure in American history.
Tubman joins Ben Franklin and Abraham Lincoln as playable characters representing the U.S. in Civilization series. She is the first black American woman to appear as a leaderand, like all of its counterparts, it has a unique play style that reflects real parts of its history.

Tubman's second bonus gives her 50% extra influence when initiating espionage operations and five war supports when wars are declared against her.

Although they do not affect much when controlled by the player, Leader attributes can often tell the player the best way to win with a specific character.. For Harriet Tubman, these Attributes – Diplomatic and Militaristic – seem incompatible with each other, but they can actually make her one of the best leaders in the game. First and foremost, players should take advantage of their unique abilities and focus early and often on espionage. If a rival civilization is becoming a problem, try to steal from their coffers or delay their long-term plans.
About that, It's probably a good idea to spend some time building an army. As Harriet Tubman, the player probably won't start many wars, at least not at the beginning of the game; but with all this extra war support and a solid army behind them, they should have no problem finishing them off. Later, they may become more militaristic as their power increases.
Tubman's ideal playstyle is one of balance, requiring sustained focus across multiple areas. As a result, it may not be the ideal choice for casual gamers. However, in time, her versatile playing style could mean she will be considered one of the best leaders in the world. Civilization 7.
