Unfortunately for the newly appointed Supreme Leader, Vader's legacy is one of suffering.
Star Wars: Legacy of Vader is an upcoming comic book series that focuses on the few months during which Kylo Ren assumes leadership of the First Order and the consequences of his failure to turn Rey to the Dark Side of the Force.

Kylo Ren actually inherited the Vader's legacy
When looking back at the entire Skywalker saga, one thing becomes painfully clear: Anakin was groomed by Sheev Palpatine from childhood. Anakin's transformation into Darth Vader wasn't an evolution of power, it was the calculated machinations of one man who wished to defy death. In both the Legends and canon, it was Emperor Palpatine who feared death more than anyone else. Palpatine's investments in cloning technology echo his Legends counterparts, making it clear that he intended to take over Anakin's body if he weren't so disfigured.
Of course, the Sith Lord used Vader as a tool, and when he had the opportunity, he took advantage of his apprentice to recruit a new host body, Luke Skywalker. Naturally, Luke prevailed and Palpatine was left with fewer options. That is until the birth of a new descendant of Skywalker. From his conception, Ben Solo became Palpatine's new target. After frequent failures in cloning a Force-sensitive body, the birth of a new Skywalker proved to be Palpatine's next path toward immortality.

The tragedy of Ben Solo
It's just that he's not your grandfather. Anakin was a power-hungry menace who instinctively embraced the Dark Side and its brutal ambitions. Kylo Ren, however, needed stronger persuasion. Ben is naturally kinder and more empathetic than his grandfather, hence his consistent struggle to embrace the Dark Side. Anakin kills and massacres because he believes it is fair. Kylo Ren kills because he believes it will cure him. Palpatine, from beyond the known galaxy, tugged at Ren's emotions, manipulating the boy just as he did Anakin before.
Hopefully this series will better express the cruel truth of Darth Vader's legacy, asserting that it is a legacy of victimization rather than raw power.
In this series, Kylo Ren is at his limit. As Star Wars As fans know, Ben Solo endured a lot of suffering in a short space of time, all according to Palpatine's plan. Buried deep within Kylo Ren's psyche, Ben vaguely persists until his call to the Light in Rise of Skywalker. Hopefully this series will better express
the cruel truth of Darth Vader's legacy
stating that it is about victimization and not raw power. Fortunately, this Star Wars series promises a tragically dramatic story, along with the brutal action that Skywalkers are known for.
