Damien Leon’s cruel blow Terrifying 3 Expands the theory behind Art the Clown and his arch-nemesis Sienna Shaw, thereby confirming a theory about the quietly demonic slasher. of Terrifying 3s controversial opening scene to its wild cliffhanger ending, the third entry in the saga centered around Art the Clown elevates the franchise in terms of both inventive slasher kills and its steadily-building narrative. The Drakewell even added an acolyte in Art’s murderous mayhem in Victoria Hayes, the sole survivor of the original terrifying.
Both terrifying And Terrifying 2 Ended with art appearing dead, and yet he was somehow resurrected in both movies, the second time with significant help from both Victoria Hayes and the restless little pale girl. This calls into question the true nature of Art the Clown, who started the franchise seemingly as a demented and depraved yet mortal serial killer. Although he may have started out that way, it became increasingly clear that Art may have something far more sinister driving him, and Terrifying 3 Further explored the demonic possibilities behind Art and his killer cabal.

This idea was further supported by Terrifying 2Which introduced the audience to the Clown Cafe, which was Art’s own personal corner of hell. Terrifying 3 Removed all doubt and confirmed that Art and his allies were in fact demons. All three began as humans, but as Terrifying 3 discovers Each is used as a vessel by a demon due to their broken or volatile state; Art was a serial killer, Victoria was a mentally ruined victim of Art, and the little pale girl was an outright demon impersonating one of Art’s first victims, Emily Crane.
It is actually implied that since the little pale girl has been missing from Terrifying 3 And the last time audiences saw her she was carrying Art’s severed head, she is the demon that possessed Victoria for the events of Terrifying 3. She may even be a representation of Satan himself, or at least a more powerful demon that the demon in art the clown serves. No matter how the demonic family tree breaks down, Terrifying 3 Confirmed Art’s status as a demon.
How the 9th Circle connects to Art being a demon
A key piece of Art’s larger mythology provides a clue to its true nature
Following Terrifying 3s shocking ending, Art boards a bus that will take him somewhere away from Siena, from which he manages to escape. A woman on the bus is reading a book with this title The 9th circleWhich actually connects to Art the Clown’s very first appearance. Damien Leone produced a short film in 2008 which was also titled The 9th circleIn which art appears as a cut-down version of the terrible face he possesses in the terrifying Franchise. In short, he is literally a servant of Satan, stalking and capturing a girl for a satanic ritual.
“The Ninth Circle” is a reference to Dante Alighieri’s famous epic poem Hellwhich follows Dante himself and the ancient Roman poet Virgil as they journey into Hell itself. In the poem, there are nine “circles” of hell, each reserved for a specific type of sinner, all of whom receive a specific type of punishment according to their earthly transgressions. The Ninth Circle is the worst of them, and is where Satan is trapped for eternity. Terrifying 3‘s conspicuous reference to the Ninth Circle confirms that Art and Wiki are products of Hell itself, and are in fact demons.
Can Art the Clown die if he is a demon?
So far, all attempts have proven unsuccessful
Art’s demonic nature casts significant doubt on whether or not he can actually be killed. Through three movies, he should have died at least three times: once from his headshot at the end of terrifyingOnce when he was beheaded by Siena at the end of Terrifying 2And again when he is impaled at the end of Terrifying 3. None of the “deaths” were enough to complete art.So it remains to be seen if he can be killed by conventional means. The most likely path to Art’s demise is related to Sienna Shaw’s growing power.

at the end of Terrifying 3Siena is shown that they can heal themselves, compounding on her own resurrection at the end of Terrifying 2. Her angel warrior costume from Terrifying 2 may actually be a representation of her true nature, whether she realizes it at the time or not. Her father’s sword was imbued with magic, and perhaps celestial power so that it was effective against the demonic arts and wiki. While art has survived multiple attacks, Sienna’s growing power as the divine opposite to his demonic corruption could spell his eventual doom.
What art the clown being a demon means for terrifying
The terrifying Franchise is much more than a slasher series
Art’s status as a demon and Sienna’s status as a potentially angelic counterpart elevate the Terrifying franchise from a simple slasher series to something much more complex. While the franchise’s bread and butter will always be the inventive and disturbing ways in which art comes to melt a human body, The rest of the story developed into a final battle between the forces of good and evil. Magic swords, divine healing and increasingly heavy religious symbolism all point to the franchise skewing more toward the supernatural.
It now seems well within the realm of possibility that art could be a manifestation of Satan himself.
While the demon that possessed Victoria may have been defeated at the end of Terrifying 3The one who drives the clown is still very much alive, and seems to resist the power of Sien to a greater degree. This shows that art perhaps has some kind of special status among the nightmarish denizens of the pits of hell. It is possible that he is a known servant of SatanAs he proved The 9th circleBut it also now seems well within the realm of possibility that art could be a manifestation of Satan himself.
