As the film's 2025 release date approaches, the latest news arrives in the form of the trailer for Karate Kid: Legends. THE trailer introduces the newest character to use the mantra, Li Fong (played by Ben Wang), who travels to the US with Mr. Han (Jackie Chan). They look for Daniel (Ralph Macchio), who will help them train Li the same way the late Mr. Miyagi trained him. A gang of thugs is seen approaching Li on the train, and some big fight scenes are teased. The trailer culminates with an action-packed rooftop fight.

Karate Kid: Legends originally had a release date of June 7, 2024. This would place the release during the 40th anniversary month of the first Karate Kid film release. With Sony changing its release schedule next year because of the Hollywood strikes, the Karate Kid the reboot's release date has been pushed back to December 2024. Now, Karate Kid: Legends was pushed once again, and will now be released on May 30, 2025.

This movement confirms that all epochs of the Karate Kid franchise is not only canon, but will also be represented in the new film

The first major casting came when it was announced that Ralph Macchio and Jackie Chan would appear in the film, reprising their previous roles. Macchio will be back in his familiar role of Daniel de The Karate Kid and Cobra Kaiand Jackie Chan will be back as Mr. Han in 2010 Karate Kid redo. Since then, other names have been added to the cast, such as Ming-Na Wen, whose role has not yet been revealed. Additionally, Sadie Stanley will play the romantic interest of Ben Wang's title character, while Dawson Creek alumnus Joshua Jackson will play his father.

Karate Kid: Story of Legends

A new Karate Kid will emerge

A merged image features Karate Kid 2010 stars Jackie Chan and Jaden Smith alongside Cobra Kai stars Ralph Macchio, William Zabka, Xolo Mariduena and Yuji Okumoto.

Although all the details have not yet been revealed, it is known that Karate Kid: Legends will follow a teenager from China who studies under the harsh but fair teachings of Mr.. Han and his newest student, Li Fong, will travel to California in search of Daniel LaRusso to learn from him the teachings of the late Mr. However, things are not so good, and a new group of ruffians will target Li Fong ( for reasons unknown at this time) and it will require more than a few exciting martial arts battles.

The two-minute trailer introduces Li Fong, Mr. Han's newest student, who travels with his mentor to train with Daniel LaRusso, who is familiar with Miyagi's teachings. New villains arrive and threaten Li Fong, and it all leads to an epic rooftop martial arts showdown.
