Storm and Wolverine have had a special connection for years
But in the past, their romance never lasted long…
There is decades of publication history in the X-Men mythos documenting the flirtation and sexual tension between Storm and Wolverine, starting with Chris Claremont's iconic run throughout the '70s and '80s. The two heroes share a deep admiration and respect for each other that have existed almost since the beginning of their friendship… they both appreciate each other's independence, honesty and loyalty, which have been put to the test many times. When most fans hear about In Wolverine's love life, they immediately think of Jean Grey, while reflecting on Storm's romances, which almost always refer to T'Challato whom Ororo was married for years. After Storm's divorce from Black Panther after Avengers vs. X-MenOroro and Logan finally officially started dating in Wolverine and the X-Men.
Although Logan and Ororo had flirted for years and dropped many subtle hints that they had slept together before, their official relationship was on a whole other level and really showed how well the two heroes worked together. Interestingly, T'Challa tells Storm “anyone but him” in reference to her relationship with Wolverinepotentially because he knows how compatible the two are and is worried about losing Ororo forever. Many fans were pleased that Logan and Ororo were finally together, especially Wolverine recognizing that Storm was always right in front of him when he was so distracted by Jean Grey. They eventually broke up and decided to remain friends and teammates, but had more flirtations, such as during Krakoa's X of Swords event, which hinted at a revival of their relationship in the future.
Logan and Ororo will always be amazing friends
Respect for each other will always overcome any anger
Storm #3 sees them finally rekindle their romance, with a passionate night of fighting and love, but by the next morning the moment is over. Ororo, busy with her work at the Storm Sanctuary and the Avengers, had to leave to meet Sorcerer Supreme Doom in Latveria, escaping from the bed she was sharing with Logan. Although Storm apologized for abandoning Wolverine, he knew immediately that she was gone the next morning and was not upset, because he loves, respects and understands her.
Storm and Wolverine's romance has always been somewhat controversial, mainly because some fans still think Ororo and T'Challa should be togetherBut no matter who the “endgame” is, it was heartwarming to see the two reconnect with such passion. Wolverine and Storm's relationship has always transcended the X-Menand no matter how many times they reunite romantically, they will always remain incredibly supportive of each other.
