Bode's casting in the Fire Country season 3 midseason finale showed why he doesn't deserve his success

Notice! SPOILERS for Fire Country season 3, episode 8 ahead.

Bode's progress in his dream of becoming a Cal Fire firefighter is undeniable in Land of Fire
Season 3, but his choice during his first call highlighted that he could have become one too soon. Since then Land of FireIn the series premiere, the focus has been on Bode's struggle to cultivate his dream of being a firefighter like the Leones before him. If the biggest obstacle for Bode was the fact that he had to serve his sentence in Land of Fire Seasons 1 and 2, Season 3 introduced a new set of impediments, in the form of her firefighting training for ex-cons with Jake and Camden.

Bode had to struggle with the expectation that he would easily become a firefighter because he was a “nugget,”Or coming from a long family of firefighters. His grandfather Walter inadvertently impeded Bode's smooth sailing during phase 2, and the opposing ways Camden and Vince approached firefighting put Bode at the center of it, turning Bode's Cal Fire training into Land of Fire as a result, season three is exceptionally difficult. Camden would have failed Bode if they hadn't saved the day together in Season 3, Episode 7, but his decision did not change how solid Camden's initial assessment of Bode was.

Fire Country Season 3 Episode 8 Shows Why Bode Shouldn't Have Graduated, Like Casey Said

Bode Refused to See the Bigger Picture of Fire Country Season 3 Finale

Max Thieriot as Bode Leone, Jordan Calloway as Jake Crawford and Jared Padalecki as Camden Casey in Fire Country, season 3, episode 5

Casey reached a point when he found Bode incapable of following orders, and his and Audrey's first call in Land of Fire season three proved that. The feeling for the husband who had lost his wife and wanted to protect the house she designed at any cost made Bode promise that he and Audrey would have protected the house, showing how much Bode cared about those he protected. However, Bode's promise made it impossible for him to see the bigger picture Land of Fire season 3, episode 8putting his life and Audrey's at risk, as he didn't follow Sharon's orders.

[Bode’s insistence on keeping his promise was] the only possible, since Bode refused to follow orders if he did not agree with them, since Land of Fire season 1 premiere.

Not following a superior's orders because he wanted to keep his promise was bad enoughespecially on his first day as a Cal Fire firefighter, but it made everything worse because Bode and Audrey could die because he was unable to see what was in front of him and judge accordingly. Bode's firefighting journey in Land of Fire Season 3 unfortunately featured several examples of Bode pressuring superiors to give him more time, making his decision dangerous and the only one possible, as Bode refused to follow orders if he didn't agree with them since Land of Fire season 1 premiere.

The problem of Bode's disobedience will create more problems in the land of fire if it is not resolved

Bode disrespected orders while fighting fires

Bode's reticence to follow orders has always been a part of him. In Land of Fire In the first season, he went against Vince's orders to save a frightened horse in a stable from a fire and a child from a car dangling from a bridge, and did the same to bring the brothers together in Land of Fire Season 2, putting himself in danger by walking alone into a room about to explode, even injuring himself in the process. All of Bode's defenses made him a hero, as he saved those in need, but went directly against orders of his superior officer.

Bode always ended up saving Land of Fire characters disobeying orders, but His actions also endangered other inmate firefighters and Cal Fire firefighters. Cole almost lost his life to save Bode, and Gabriela did the same by jumping off the bridge to find him. Audrey hooking up with Bode in Land of Fire Season 3, Episode 8 now runs the same risk. Station 42 needs to do something about Bode's disobedience before their firefighters get hurt, just to protect Bode. in his quest to save everyone no matter the orders, making it an important future storyline for Land of Fire season 3.
