One of the biggest films of 2024 is Evilthe adaptation of the beloved 2003 Broadway musical, based on the 1996 book by Gregory Maguire, which in turn was based on the classic Wizard of Oz film, an adaptation of the 1900 children's novel. Evil It has received excellent reviews since its release, while also enjoying a hugely successful box office run that has broken many musical film records. One of the main factors for the film's success were its characters, the most important of which are Evilprotagonists, Elphaba and Glinda.
Evilthe two main heroines get a lot of screen time and their stories are even expanded from the original musical due to the Evil extended length of the film. However, there is still at least one scene that was cut from the film, and it was an important scene that would heavily foreshadow a major plot point in the second half of the story. EvilAriana Grande's beloved characters are its greatest assets, and this scene would have been a very intriguing look into the future of Glinda.

In EvilIn the first trailer, there was a brief moment that shows Glinda in a wedding dress, seemingly walking down the aisle, about to get married. The moment doesn't appear at all in the film which is strange as it was shown in the first look which would likely mean it was something completed very early in the filming process. The moment could have had multiple meanings, whether it was part of one of the Evillots of great music, or a dream sequence, or a royal wedding, but it was cut from the film entirely.

The scene would have foreshadowed a big moment in Part 2
Glinda wearing a wedding dress Evil It would have been a great setup for a plot element that comes into play in the second half of the story: Fiyero and Glinda get married at the behest of Madame Morrible and the Wizard. Although the wedding only took place after Elphaba's departure at the end of Evil part 1, a scene with Glinda in a wedding dress could have foreshadowed her eventual marriage to the man of her dreams, especially when the two become romantically involved.
However, it is also equally likely that this scene was not cut entirely. Evil part 1, and which is ready to appear in Evil part 2. Both films were filmed back-to-back, so the filmmakers have all the footage for the entire story, meaning there's every chance this moment could be included in the sequel. Although it is strange that the footage of Glinda in a Evil part 2 may have been revealed so early in the marketing process, audiences may anticipate this scene in Evilsequence.
