Gabriela’s Shocking Marriage Decision In Fire Country Season 3 Explained

The season 2 finale ends on a cliffhanger, but season 3 episode 1 finally showed what Gabriela plans to do in her future after the helicopter crash effectively halted her wedding. Gabriela’s feelings for Bode haven’t disappeared in Land of Fire Season 2, no matter how much she wanted it and how focused she was on starting her life with Diego. This became clear during the campaign fire in Land of Fire Season 2, Episode 9, when the impossible scenarios forced Bode and Gabriela to talk about their past and how Bode hurt Gabriela.

Their kiss during the campaign fire only made things more difficult in Land of Fire end of season 2 when Gabriela was debating whether to hold the ceremony inside or outside, using both options as a metaphor to decide whether to choose the trustworthy Diego or the inducing heartbeat Good omen. Land of Fire season 2 almost ended with Bode interrupting Gabriela’s wedding to confess his feelings before deciding to focus on his future. Still, this did not take into account Gabriela’s feelings, who decided to show up at the worst possible moment of the wedding, leaving the ending uncertain until Land of Fire Season 3, Episode 1.

Land of Fire Season 3 Episode 1 finally stopped delaying Gabriela’s decision, allowing her, Bode, and Diego to discuss what happened at the wedding while trying to save the helicopter pilot. The helicopter crash gave Gabriela space to breathe Land of Fire premiere of the 3rd season, as his indecision could already be noticed well before the debris entered the church through the window. The helicopter crash conveniently focused Gabriela’s attention on saving the pilot and those affected by the debris over Smokey, letting her do her job and preventing her from thinking about the ramifications of her actions.

Still, when she had the opportunity to discuss what had happened with Bode and Diego, Gabriela revealed to Bode that the wedding had not taken place and admitted to Diego that she wanted to marry him, specifically using the past tense. If the ceremony put Gabriela in a situation where the most sensible thing would have been to go ahead with the marriage, the accident gave Gabriela a way out, while at the same time letting her understand why marrying Diego was wrong. The call thus provided a respite for Gabriela, not letting anyone focus on her hesitation at the altar, overshadowed by the noise.

Finally admitting in Land of Fire Season 3, Episode 1, how Gabriela and Bode’s kiss was more electrifying than standing in a church about to marry Diego, revealed Gabriela’s feelings that she had been keeping a secret since Bode’s return to Three Rock in Season 2, finally. Land of Fire season 2 showed that Gabriela decided to move on with Diego, but she never stopped to ask herself what she really wantedas focused as she was on punishing Bode for excluding her after returning to prison at the end of Land of Fire season 1.

Diego’s heartbreaking revelation that he always noticed Bode and Gabriela’s feelings, but continued to believe in Gabriela when she told him she wanted to build a life with him she exemplified how waiting for marriage made Gabriela’s decision even more tragic. Gabriela, Diego and Bode’s conversation finally letting everything come to light may, however, lead them to start over Land of Fire Season 3 without the secrets. This could even make Diego part of the team in his own right instead of just being Gabriela’s fiancé whenever the pain of Season 3, Episode 1’s revelations subsides.

Gabriela and Diego’s engagement is inevitably ended by the drama of Bode and Gabriela’s relationship in Land of Fire season 3, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that Gabriela and Bode will get back together. In fact, that would be the reasonable choice, especially considering how the two biggest obstacles to Bode and Gabriela being together were thwarted, as Bode was now free, unlike in the first season, and Diego finally knew what was in Gabriela’s heart. However, Manny’s request to Sharon in Land of Fire The ending of Season 3, Episode 1 could preemptively prevent Bode and Gabriela from exploring their romance.

Land of Fire The trailer for season 3 already showed Gabriela and Bode’s hot reunion, suggesting the difficulty of keeping the two apart. Yet, Manny’s concerns that Bode and Gabriela’s relationship will only blow up their lives, just as his and Roberta’s marriage did in the past, may convince Sharon to push for Bode and Gabriela’s separation..
