One of the best parts of the game is the way you collect treasures and solve puzzles. Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. It feels like you are really on an adventure with the famous archaeologistand you'll want to gather everything you can to finish the main story and get the bonuses locked behind other collectibles. Ancient Relics are one of those items, and it will probably take you until the end of the game to find them all.
What are ancient relics in the Great Circle for?
Completing the collection and figuring out what to do with them
Ancient Relics are found as part of the Riddles of the Ancients questline, and you'll find them scattered around the map in a good number of places. They are usually locked behind some kind of puzzleand players will have to search hard to find them all. Players can usually find a map at each location in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle they travel to show where the different Ancient Relics are.
Without these guides it will be difficult to find them, but it is possible. After solving them all and collecting all 50 Ancient Relics, players will have to take them to the game's final area and a puzzle room. This puzzle room is where the Ancient Relics go, and this is what players will use them for in the final moments of the game.
How Indiana Jones and the Great Circle Ancient Relics Puzzle Works
Solving the riddle the right way
The puzzle area is located in Iraq, in a quiet tomb. There are four doors with inserts into which you insert the Ancient Relics. The direction you enter them is important, but the general idea is that when you enter them, dots around Ancient Relics will fill depending on how the Relic is flipped. Once each point is covered, you have the solution.
Although this is a difficult puzzle, it is possible to solve it just by trial and error. Try turning the relics in the opposite direction if you still have empty holes but no more relics. If players turn left, the dots will fill in a box around the Relic. Rotating right fills the holes in all four directions until there is a gap.
It can be quite a long puzzle to solve, but it is extremely satisfying when completed. It's great to see the end result, and when the puzzle is complete, the doors will open and players will be able to see the fruits of their efforts. To see the final solution, players can check out this video from YouTuber Twigmaster Games. Notably, there are several reasons why this puzzle must be completed in order for players to complete the game 100%.
What's Behind the Ancient Relic Puzzle
A hidden scene and the final note
Once the doors are opened, players will see a final cutscene. This scene provokes a continuation of the end of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, which probably occurs in Antarctica. This is likely a teaser for a DLC or sequel, but players will have to wait to know for sure. The scene doesn't last long, but it's intriguing. Additionally, at the end of the cutscene, something will be added to Indy's inventory.
Depending on the point in the game where this is achieved, a few other things can happen. A new note is added to the player's inventory, and it is the last note they will need to find to get the Archivist trophy. The note itself alludes to the scene's Great Circle Mural. This may very well trigger a platinum trophy if the player has done everything else thus far, but otherwise this is the reward for collecting all 50 Ancient Relics in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.
