Even years later, Animal Crossing: New Horizons continues to surprise its players with some of the most interesting situations ever imagined. Whether it's people discovering new uses for interactive items, creating beautiful custom designs, or simply stumbling across some silly villager dialogue, it seems like ACNH It's the game that keeps on giving. The relaxing island getaway has provided players with a safe and cozy virtual home during the pandemic and countless personal trials in its players' lives. On some rare occasions, however, it's not quite the idyllic vacation it was designed to be.
For Reddit user, Mister-Mankeythat the cozy island experience quickly became a dark and grisly crime scene thanks to a glitch in the game that caused poor rabbit villager, O'Hare, to be impaled on a parasol.
Finding your neighbor NPC O'Hare impaled on a parasol in this peaceful space would certainly come as a shock to anyone. Fortunately, O'Hare survived the difficult ordealwhich was caused by the game having a small glitch when placing the villager on the chair in the middle instead of on the left or right.

O'Hare must have thought that a nap on the beach under an umbrella would be much more peaceful than it turned out to be. Although the actual event of their massacre was not witnessed, the aftermath provoked a gasp and probably a moment of panic. The player, Lord-Mankey, was simply taking a walk when he stumbled upon the scene and quickly removed the killer furniture to prevent this situation from occurring again.
Comments in the thread ranged from accusations of the often suspicious Easter Bunny, Zipper, of causing the scene to the comment above from astudyinamber which references perfectly FrozenOlaf is having a casual reaction to being impaled. User IamaJarJar commented that it was a murder and stated that the killer must be found, generating a series of responses from others.

Over the years, players have encountered some truly terrifying glitches in your Animal Crossing: New Horizons islands. From situations where the game created a Biblical-style river of blood to more complicated glitches involving the Brewster and The Roost coffee shop disappearing from their islands, players seem to continually find interesting moments happening. Of course, there are a lot more things that some players encounter that aren't glitches but are just as scary, like fake haunted artwork and an alien message on the television at night.
Although I'm grateful I didn't have the shock of meeting one of my loved ones ACNH villagers murdered on the beach of my cozy and safe island, the situation is funny after knowing that everything worked out.
Lord-Mankey must have been a little panicked and shocked initially, but luckily they quickly regained their composure enough to respectfully take the screenshot with their character looking away with their eyes closed and share the image with Reddit. Despite the accusations against Zipper and other characters, it appears that the entire situation was ultimately an innocent accident in Animal Crossing: New Horizonsand the case is closed.
