Batman is one of the most skilled fighters and planners in the DC Universe, but Superman knows Harley Quinn absolutely equal to Bruce Wayne. There are very few characters who can match the skills Batman has spent his entire life honing, which is why this comparison is so surprising.
During the events of Heroes in crisis Tom King and Clay Mann, a brutal massacre takes place at the Sanctuary, a place where the heroes can turn for therapy and emotional support. The only two survivors of the massacre, Booster Gold and Harley Quinn, blame the other for it. This leads the Trinity to try to figure out who is responsible, and they end up seeing Harley Quinn’s full potential.
Cornered by Superman, Wonder Woman and Batman, Harley Quinn looks set to be taken into custody for questioning. Instead, she manages to steal Wonder Woman’s lasso, overpower Batman, and defeat Superman with kryptonite. IN Heroes in crisis No. 2, this incredible feat leads to Superman calls Harley Quinn the only Gotham villain who is as good as Batman.

Even readers often forget about this. Harley Quinn is an incredibly experienced and highly qualified psychologist. She easily reads people and notices their habits, a skill that few people in the DCU actually possess. While it may seem absurd that Harley could take on the Trinity and win, she simply anticipates their behavior. Harley knows that Wonder Woman will be the first to try to listen to her before resorting to violence, and uses this foresight to steal Wonder Woman’s lasso. She then knows that Batman will act first and due to his paranoia, he will have kryptonite for Superman.

This battle of the Trinity is not the first time Harley used her powers of observation and knowledge of how the human mind works to defeat a superior opponent.. In 2001 Harley Quinn #10 by Karl Kesel, Terry Dodson, Rachel Dodson, Alex Sinclair and Ken Lopez, she manages to defeat Cassandra Cain, the best fighter in the Bat-Family, using basic psychology. After Robin mistakenly calls Harley Quinn by the name “Cassandra” while she is dressed as Batgirl, Harley then uses this knowledge by calling Cass using her real name. With Cass surprised and confused, Harley is able to push her off the roof.

Knowing how people will react before they do is really important. Although Harley Quinn does not have permanent superhuman powers, she is an expert at knowing exactly what people will do and being able to get into their thoughts. She flawlessly predicted how Wonder Woman, Batman and Superman would react. Heroes in crisiswhich allowed her to perfectly resist their movements. As strange as it may sound at first, Superman knows that the only Gotham City villain who can compare to him is Batman is Harley Quinn.
