America Chavez, Hawkeye, and Jeff the Land Shark examine many fallen symbiotes.

One of the former West Coast Avengers’ strongest assets was their affinity for getting out of chaos through innovative thinking and a lot of luck. With Coney Island quickly being overrun by the “Swingers,” they needed a lot of both. THE Poison War has released symbiote pieces across the world, all looking for hosts, but the “Swingers” are still alive. Unlike their undead zombie counterparts, they cannot simply be dispatched with brute force without killing their innocent host in the process. While this limits the options, having América Chávez around theoretically puts the universe at your fingertips again – including the World’s Greatest Orator.

Although some symbiotes are notably stronger than others, most have greater strength and agility at their core. In short, they are a threat by default, but they come equipped with some major weaknesses, including sensitivity to sonic waves and high-frequency sounds. The idea for Gwenpool focused on this weakness and the team took it as far as possible. By playing the song “Baby Shark” at Coney Island at extreme volume, they managed to defeat the symbiotes en masse and stop at least one corner of the Venom War invasion; although it’s played for laughs, the tactic itself is incredibly effective.

Neutralizing a large number of symbionts is essential

West Coast Avengers Explodes Symbiotes With Baby Shark

Poison War presents a situation where a surviving symbiote, or Zombiote, can cause the situation to spiral out of control once again. The only way to control it is to respond on a massive level rather than trying to deal with individual “Swingers” or zombies. In that regard, the previous West Coast Avengers certainly succeeded. They freed dozens of civilians and stopped all the symbiotes at once, preventing them from finding new hosts. By bringing out the world’s biggest speaker and blasting the symbiotes with sound, Hawkeye West Coast Avengers presented one of the Poison War better tactics.
