The next Star Wars movie will surpass one of Mandalorian’s best scenes

It was amazing to see, and gave audiences a new gold standard for Walker scenes. Now, the upcoming movie The Mandalorian & Grogu Has a chance to surpass the Sorgan AT-ST scene in an incredible way.

New footage for The Mandalorian & Grogu was shown at D23 this year, revealing the appearance of AT-ATs on a snowy planet in the upcoming Star Wars Movie. This is a huge deal, as it will be the first time AT-ATs have been seen on screen since 2016 Rogue One: A Star Wars Story Featured them in the battle of Scarif. But based on precedent established in The Mandalorian season 1, The AT-AT scenes could be incredible, using modern technology and effects to reimagine the walkers as more terrifying than everJust like the AT-ST scene on Sorgan was.

On top of the AT-AT appearance, the footage also showed Din Djarin driving an AT-RT across a rocky environment. This walker, debuting in Clone Wars (2003) and later Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith, is another design iconic to viewers of Star Wars Outside the films, highlighting the way The Mandalorian & Grogu Seems to be pulling from all areas of the Star Wars Universe. It retains aspects of older movies, like the AT-ST scene in season 1.

The Mandalorian Season 1 shocked audiences with its terrifying depiction of the AT-ST, a walker reduced to somewhat comedic status due to how the Ewoks took it down in Return of the Jedi. After all, the AT-AT is one step up from the AT-ST, so if they decide to lean in the iconic 4-legged walker in The Mandalorian & Grogu The same way they did for the AT-ST, this could be a serious win for Star Wars Fans.
