Two actors from The Vampire Diaries Reunite in a new photo seven years after the CW show ended. The Supernatural saga has a reasonably large ensemble, especially when including the number of recurring guest stars that join each season. But almost a decade after it wrapped, the drama is often remembered for the initial central love triangle between Stefan, Elena, and Damon rather than its later attempts to expand the depth of relationships between The Vampire Diaries‘ cast of letters.

Stefan & Bonnie’s Relationship is an example of what makes Late Vampire Diaries different
Their relationship was exhausted by the end
The Vampire Diaries Could be defined by the romance between Nina Dobrev’s Elena Gilbert, Ian Somehalder’s Damon Salvatore and Stefan. But when Elena was written off in The Vampire Diaries Season 6 puts the series in a position where it has to explore the dynamics between pairings that have shared relatively few meaningful scenes together up to that point. This includes Bonnie and Stefan.
The Vampire Diaries is based on the novels by LJ Smith.
Their relationship, before Elena was written off, Can generally be described as friendly. But like a lot of teen dramas, the CW series was mostly focused on advancing its various romantic relationships and was less invested in highlighting the different friendships that existed within the main group. There were times when they were supportive of each other and other times when they were antagonists. But these are generally kept to the margins of the series.

That changes in the final season of The Vampire Diaries Especially, as Bonnie and Stefan begin to work together more directly. The friendship is also strained and permanently damaged by an act that Stefan commits. Bonnie can’t quite bring herself to forgive Stephen for this. But even the tension allows Graham and Wesley to showcase more of their on-screen chemistry, which the popular series generally underutilizes.
