The Justice League gained a powerful and godlike enemy for Christmas
Only Santa Claus can help stop this mystical threat
The DC Universe is filled with hundreds of strange and powerful magic users. But what surprised heroes like Superman was the existence of the only Santa Claus. As seen in the first Batman/Santa Claus: Silent KnightThe vacation was interrupted when the world was invaded by a swarm of monsters known as Draug, serving the orders of the demonic Krampus. Helping with the investigation was Santa Claus, who doesn’t just exist in the DCU but actually trained Batman when he traveled the world before becoming a superhero.
The Justice League and Santa Claus worked together to stop Krampus, who was actually under the influence of evil spirits. Although things seemed bleak, all the heroes came together to purge Krampus’ evil and restore order to the season. Even Damian, who seemed to despise the holidays, finally embraced the spirit and helped Santa and Krampus wrap up Christmas and delivered toys along with them. However Santa Claus more than held his own with the Justice Leaguethis was his only canonical adventure with the team.
The Justice League needs Santa Claus to stop this strange new enemy
Holiday mythology is Santa’s specialty
As the adventure with Krampus revealed, there is a lot in the DC Universe that even someone as experienced as Batman doesn’t know about the world. And for all the power that magic users like Zatanna have at their disposal, sometimes it’s not enough with enemies rooted in Christmas lore. Luckily, everyone in the Justice League knows that Santa Claus isn’t just real, he’s a real kicker and is more than ready to help his allies in their time of need. This new threat is powerful, but while from Batman Old friend Santa Claus is around, things will work out.
Batman/Santa Claus: The Silent Knight Returns #1 is available November 27th from DC Comics.
