Blue Lock episode 8 of the second season, titled “Blue Genes”, aired on Saturday, November 23, 2024. Now that the second season is halfway done, there are just a few episodes left to conclude the exciting U20 arc. This week’s episode was one of the most emotional of the entire season, including a deeper dive into Rin and Sae Itoshi’s fractured sibling relationship and another goal for the Blue Lock team as the first half of the match finally ended with Blue Lock surprisingly not lead.
“Itoshi Sae”, the episode that aired last week, proved why Sae deserves to be the leader of Japan’s under-20 team during the match, when he stole a remarkable goal from right under the nose of the Blue Lock team. Surprisingly, Sae was not the featured player in that episode, as Nagi Seishiro of the Blue Lock team bounced back with a completely unexpected goal that brought both teams level and earned Nagi acclaim and respect in the eyes of the public. Right now, it looks like Blue Lock has a pretty substantial chance of winning it all.
