    Hunters coming to PC in early access

    The popular team-based battle arena game, Star Wars: Hunters will see even more action in 2025 following the announcement that this free-to-play game is coming to PC. Set in the Grand Arena of Vespaara, the title offers players the chance to take on the role of someone seeking to rise up and prove their strength and power after the end of the Galactic Civil War by participating in a show of gladiatorial combat. It offers a wide variety of family hunter options and fun arenas like the Death Star, Ewok Village, and more.

    Star Wars: Hunters it’s free Star Warsthemed MOBA that is currently only available on Nintendo Switch, iOS and Android devices. Although there is no precise date at this time, it has been announced that Star Wars: Hunters will come to Steam’s Early Access program in 2025 as a free download. The first Zynga-published game to come to PC, the game will be better than ever with higher resolution visuals and more changes that will add to the look and feel of this stylish Star Wars game.

    Star Wars: Hunters was released for Nintnedo Switch and mobile devices in June 2024 and currently offers cross-play between these platforms. Therefore, it is expected that the Steam version of the game will also include cross-play for PC players to team up with friends on other devices, but this has not yet been confirmed. THE PC build Star Wars: Hunters will feature higher resolution textures and shadowsincreased rendering quality and a high-detail PC layer in some arena locations.

    Keyboard, mouse, and wireless controller support will be available for the Steam version of Star Wars: Hunters also. Although it is a free-to-play game, there are several optional in-game purchases that offer temptation to players but are not mandatory to successfully master these arena battles.

    Bringing Star Wars: Hunters for PC via Steam seems like a natural direction for the game, and in some ways it’s surprising that it hasn’t been made available yet. Playing MOBA-style games on a PC has been a common practice for decades, and there is already a large fan base for the genre on this system. As someone who has played these styles of games on PC, console, and mobile devices, I’m excited to have the option to play with keyboard and mouse instead of feeling so limited in my controls.

    However, assuming cross-play is enabled between PC and non-PC players, there is always a concern about finding the right balance, especially if PC players also have a visual advantage in their gameplay. The game’s Closed Beta will begin soon and then the Early Access version of Star Wars: Hunters will be released in 2025.
