Screen Rant is pleased to present an exclusive first look at the new trailer for Haunted HeartA noir thriller by famous Spanish filmmaker Fernando Trueba. The movie takes place in Greece, on a remote island where a young and spirited woman named Alex (played by Aida Folch) takes a job in a boutique seaside restaurant. While there, she falls in love with the mysterious and American restaurant manager Max (played by Matt Dillon), whose past is hidden behind lock and key.
Trueba has a storied history, both in terms of directing and screenwriting. His 1992 film master epochStarring Penelope Cruz, received an Academy Award nomination for Best Foreign Film. The trailer shows Alex on her way to the Greek island, two weeks late for her original position at the restaurant. Max offers her a test run as a server for two weeks, and she does everything in her power to make him notice her even as she is warned that he won’t share anything about himself or his past. Tensions rise and tempers flare as their romance blossoms, with Max rejecting attempts to get more emotionally intimate and also exhibiting a strong tendency towards possessiveness and jealousy.
Matt Dillon was in Hollywood For decades, often turning in stellar performances like his Oscar-nominated role in 2006’s Crash And his unforgettable turn in There is something about Mary. He has come a long way since Francis Ford Coppola The aliens And now takes center stage again as the mysterious and somewhat terrifying Max. Folch’s career, on the other hand, may not have been quite as long, but it was remarkably busy.
