The first-look pictures of The life of Chuck were revealed. Based on the story by Stephen King, The life of Chuck is an upcoming Mike Flanagan film that tells the story of a man named Chuck and the end of his life. The life of Chuck Film adaptation features a leading cast including Tom Hiddleston, James Tremblay, Mark Hamill, Karen Gillan, Molly C. Quinn, Kate Siegel, Michael Trucco, David Dastmalchian and Matthew Lillard.
now, Vanity Fair has revealed the first pictures for The life of Chuck.
The images show a glimpse of Hiddleston in the role of Chuck as he is about to dance in a key sequence in the movie. In one image, director Flanagan is seen talking to Hiddleston on set. Flanagan is seen again in a picture of him and his son Cody, who plays a younger version of the protagonist in The life of Chuck. What the pictures say about the life of Chuck’s tone
The King adaptation is not a horror movie
Before the last looks at The life of ChuckThe only image available was a teaser image of Charles Krantz. The image shows Chuck in what looks like an advertisement with text that reads “Charles Crown. 39 great years. Thanks Chuck!” At a picture of a smiling Hiddleston. The look of The life of Chuck Confirmed how Flanagan planned to execute a crucial aspect of King’s book in which characters begin to see Chuck’s face on billboards, advertisements and more, with these words. This image can be seen in two of the first-look photos, one behind Ejiofor and one behind Gillan.
Flanagan is known for directing horror, but has repeatedly reminded audiences that The Life of Chuck is not a horror film.
As Chuck is seen everywhere in The life of Chuck, The world in his mind begins to unravel. Some of this is witnessed in the new images. Ejiofor’s handshake takes place on a barren-looking street, and the cars in the picture were abandoned once the world began to fall apart. He is shaking hands with Carl Lumbly who “Plays a funeral director who has dedicated his life to easing people through death.” In another image, Gillan looks to be part of a surreal moment as her artistically-lit character sits in front of a poster of Chuck’s face.

Outside of the images in Chuck’s mind reveal more intimate moments. Cody Flanagan’s scene, for example, seems to take place in a kitchen, which is likely his grandparents’ house, where a supernatural scene will take place. Chuck’s grandfather, played by Hamill, is seen sitting at a desk in that same house. Flanagan is known for directing horror, but repeatedly reminded the audience that The life of Chuck is not a horror film. The first images seem to follow through with the genre promise, bending tone and genre to create a unique experience The life of Chuck.
