Robby was scheduled to fight the imposing Axel Kovačević (Patrick Luwis) of the Iron Dragons, while Sam was scheduled to fight Tory Nichols (Peyton List), his old rival from Cobra Kai. Unfortunately, senseis Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) and Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) started fighting again until Miguel Diax (Xolo Mariduena) got them on the same page. With Miyagi-Do senseis united, Cobra Kai launched a classic trope inspired by The Karate Kid and its predecessor, Rocky.
