Steve Trevor is working to keep Amanda Waller in Absolute power
in Absolute Power: Task Force VII #1 By Leah Williams and Caitlin Yarsky, Wonder Woman’s love interest Colonel Steve Trevor is brought to the island nation of Gamorra, where Amanda Waller has built her metahuman prison base. Steve is not happy to be here, especially once he sees how many heroes Waller and Task Force VII have already arrested. To make matters worse, Trevor is called here by Waller’s underling Sarge Steele, someone Steve has royally pissed off in the past.
…Steve is able to avoid capture and dresses as one of Waller’s task force agents to move around Gamorra undetected.
Absolute Power: Task Force VII #2 By John Layman and Max Raynor sees Steele take Trevor to his new office. However, Trevor immediately examines the phone from the office and discovers a listening device and correctly surmises that Steele tries to trick Trevor by making it look like he’s passing information along to Wonder Woman. Absolute Power: Task Force VII #3 By Jeremy Adams and Marco Santucci reveals that Steve is able to avoid capture and dresses as one of Waller’s task force agents to move around Gamorra undetected.
Steve finds out where the heroes are being held, but has no clue what Waller is doing with the villains. However, Angle Man tries a breakout and Trevor gets a chance to find out where the bad guys are located. After signing up Absolute Power: Task Force VII #4 By Pornsak Pichetshote and Claire Roe, Trevor finally gets to where the villains are taken. Steve is shocked when He discovers an army of DC villains building some kind of giant machine.
As Wonder Woman and her allies are rendered powerless
in the wake of Dark Crisis on Infinite EarthsAmanda Waller returned to Prime Earth after a trip from Earth-3. Disturbed by the idea of metahumans turning against humanity, Waller began formulating a plan to eliminate metahumans permanently. She started working in the shadows, Observe teams such as the Titans and the Doom Patrol as you make plans to achieve more power than ever. Waller finally got the political power she needed when she became the head of the new government organization, the Bureau of Governance.
In addition to political power, Valer needs firepower to help her take down the metahumans. Thankfully, she was able to capture Failsafe after it was defeated by Batman and his allies. She also possessed the Six Amazos Failsafe when it was possessed by Batman’s alternate persona, Zur-En-Arrh. Waller received additional power in the form of the Brainiac Queen, which fell to the ground with completely empty hard drives. Waller used a combination of Failsafe’s programming and the Sanctuary files to Brainwash the Queen and let her serve as Waller’s loyal agent.

With all the assets she needed, Waller used the Brainiac Queen to generate manipulated videos that showed heroes attacking the public. The heroes took the bait and hit the streets to counter the narrative and Waller sent Task Force VII in response. The Amazons made quick work and De-powered hundreds of heroes, including ones as powerful as Superman, Wonder Woman and the Spectre. The situation became painfully clear when Green Arrow intercepted the heroes’ private frequency and revealed that Waller had cut off every possible avenue of escape.
Wonder Woman’s closest ally is discovering vital information for DC’s heroes
Steve is not a hero in the conventional sense, but unlike Wonder Woman and her comrades, Trevor is at least used to being powerless. There is no sugar coating it. Things are tough in the DC Universe right now. Heroes are on the run, in prison, or in the case of Superman Jon Kent, experimented on. While Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman want nothing more than to get to Gamora, the heart of Waller’s operation, they aren’t exactly in a position to do so without their abilities. But Wonder Woman’s companion is in a key position to save her and her friends.

Right now, the heroes are too concerned with fighting Waller’s Task Force VII agents to even think about what’s going on in Waller’s prison. And while there are plans to boost their allies, Steve is already acting as the heroes’ ‘boots on the ground’ presence. He found key places in the prison such as where the heroes are detained and the area where the villains are building an unknown, but certainly disastrous device. If the heroes Do make it to gamorra, Steve Trevor should have everything they need to know to turn things around.
There are very few options for powerless heroes right now. But Steve Trevor on Gamora could be a godsend. This man is a great soldier and has experience in espionage and combat. He’s not Superman, but he’s just the type of person who can find the secrets Amanda Waller is hiding on Gamorra and get them to the heroes. It’s a long shot, but Trevor’s work in Gamorra could be Which ultimately helps the DC heroes get their powers back.

It is not yet known how the heroes will get their powers back. But if anyone has a shot at discovering how, it’s Steve. His investigation into Gamorra may lead him to discover a way to get Task Force VII to return each hero’s power back to them. Sure, sure, but being in Diana’s social circle prepared Trevor for a mission like this. If all goes well, Wonder Woman And the rest of DC’s heroes will soon be empowered thanks to Steve Trevor.
