Jason Lee Scott’s Red Power Ranger is a post-apocalyptic vigilante in lore-accurate cosplay

The first Red Ranger from the original Power Rangers Has received his most authentic cosplay yet. Fans have found creative ways to showcase their favorite Power Rangers through cosplay, even merging them with Black Panther, for example. However, what is most impressive is the speed in which fans can produce costumes to reflect the current events of the franchise.

User @lovinglyme91 posted on Reddit, Show their wonderfully accurate version of Jason Lee Scott as he appeared in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The ReturnThe miniseries written by Amy Jo Johnson – the original actress who portrayed Pink Ranger Kimberly Ann Hart, and Matt Hotson. The cosplay features Jason’s signature cape and garb from this universe, as well as his bloody vigilante sword.

This outfit is, by far, the original Red Ranger’s best costume ever, and it makes for arguably the best cosplay of the character Rangers Fandom has produced yet.

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Return Centers around a world where the Rangers actually vacuum evil permanently. This is an alternate universe where the previous seasons (Zeo, Turbo, etc.) never happened and instead, the Mighty Morphin Squad defeat Lord Zedd and Rita Repulsa. With evil out of the picture, There is no need for Power Rangers and the team to agree to move on with their lives – all but Jason Lee Scott. The original Red Ranger retained his morph and opted to become something of a superhero.

The return First issue establishes that Jason felt a responsibility to keep helping people as long as he still had the real power to do so, so he did. He may have stopped fighting monsters a long time ago, but the Red Ranger made his presence to care for more grounded environment. He serves as a tough ranger who fights local crime, saves people from burning buildings, and goes on counter-terrorism missions. Even without a team backing him up, He proves to be the ultimate Red Ranger as, practically, a one-man army.

It’s impressive how quickly someone was able to cook up such an accurate depiction in such a short amount of time, but it’s also a testament to how good the series is at making an impression on fans so quickly.

It’s impressive how quickly someone was able to cook up such an accurate depiction in such a short amount of time, but it’s also a testament to how good the series is at making an impression on fans so quickly. The series is less than a year old, and has already inspired a huge number of Power Rangers Cosplay.
