The Walking Dead Has produced three spinoff shows since the main show ended, and after watching them, I believe one new character will die. Despite The Walking Dead Ending in 2022, the franchise has continued through various spinoff shows, each following characters from the original series. So far, I’ve enjoyed each new story because they’ve managed to rediscover some of the magic that made the franchise so special. They all have their own individual traits and qualities that make them stand out, however The Walking Deads spinoffs have also repeated similar storylines, making me sure about one character’s death.
With the ongoing shows in fresh locations, I’m not surprised to see so many new additions to the zombie series. Although the protagonists are familiar, the spinoffs have introduced a variety of villains and supporting characters that have not been seen before in the franchise. Those who live Also used unexpected cameos like Gabriel and Jadis, but the cast still mostly consisted of new survivors, which is also the case in Daryl Dixon And Dead City. However, despite the abundance of fresh faces, I think one of Daryl Dixons upcoming editions may die based on the previous spinoffs.

Carol will meet a new character, Ash, in Daryl Dixon Season 2
The Daryl Dixon Season 2 trailer teased Ash helping Carol on her journey to France
The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon is set to introduce a new character named Ash, who will cross paths with Carol in season 2. While Daryl DixonThe trailer of many parts of the upcoming story left a mystery, it seemed to reveal how Carol comes to France in season 2, with Ash being the pivotal factor. The teaser showed Ash and Carol boarding a plane, indicating the spinoff’s new character is some sort of pilot. Immediate access to a plane makes Ash intriguing and his piloting skills suggest he will be a valuable survivorMeaning he can have a big role.
Since the trailer also teased Carol and Daryl’s reunion, it’s clear that Ash’s plane will provide some sort of success in season 2, confirming its importance to the plot. While his bond with Carol means he’ll be relevant in the first few episodes, I’m still not sure he’ll make it out of the show alive. All signs point to Ash being a giant survivor who can handle himself, but after watching the previous spinoff shows, I don’t think that will be enough to avoid an unfortunate fate in Daryl Dixon Season 2.
Based on the past spinoffs of The Walking Dead, Ash will likely be killed
The previous spinoffs of The Walking Dead killed off a lot of its new characters
Despite how much I’ve enjoyed the franchise’s new spinoffs, they’ve shared a trend that makes me fear Ash in Daryl Dixon Season 2. Recent shows have thrived when it comes to cinematography and character dynamics, but they haven’t done a great job of treating their new additions with much care. The Walking Dead Spinoffs have wasted several new characters, and killing off most of its fresh faces has become a bad habit. Dead City Keeping some of their supporting cast alive heading into season 2, but the likes of Tommaso and Amaia were removed after serving their purpose.
Rick and Michonne’s spinoff killed almost every important new addition.
The duo seemed like they could be crucial to the journey of Negan and Maggie, but they were killed in quick succession once helping the protagonists with their objectives. Those who live Was even worse for that, as Michonne’s group of allies were all wiped out in one episode, meanwhile Key CRM introductions like Okafor, Thorne and Major General Beale all met their demise before the show ended. Rick and Michonne’s spinoff killed almost every important new addition, which is why I think Ash might struggle to survive in Daryl DixonBut there is a silver lining.
One reason Ash might actually survive Daryl Dixon Season 2
Daryl Dixon Season 1 did a great job of making the new additions matter
Dead City And Those who live Are extremely comfortable getting rid of its new letters, however Daryl Dixon Treat them with more care, which may be key to Ash’s survival. Although the spinoff killed off the likes of Quinn and Azlan, their deaths had a major impact on the story and Daryl Dixon Was much less trigger-happy with killing off his survivors compared to the other shows. The likes of Laurent, Isabelle, Sylvie, Fallou and Emile all felt like crucial allies who were kept around heading into season 2, proving that the series won’t just kill off Ash for shock value.
Even Genet and Codron both survived despite being the show’s main villains, with Daryl Dixon Season 2 is even teasing a Codron redemption arc, which suggests there are big plans for the cast. Therefore, I think that Ash may still have a decent chance of survival, simply because Daryl’s spinoff treated his supporting characters much better than the other projects. However, with season 2 probably even bigger stakes along Dead City And Those who live Put a worrying trend, I still have my doubts that Ash will have a long-term future in The Walking Dead.
