Upon contact, the amulet binds to Celeste and reveals that it is possessed by the lingering spirit of its Sith creator, Karness Muur. Muur’s corrupting influence proves to be overwhelming for the Jedi, and Morne offers to seal himself in a stasis chamber so that the artifact can be contained and the Jedi Covenant can study the relic in safety. Just as soon as the stasis chamber is sealed, a Mandalorian warship fires a barrage of nuclear warheads at the planet, burying Celeste and Karness underground.
