A new novel has been released by Marvel that introduces a new story for Doctor DoomTwo years before the iconic villain is set to make his MCU debut in 2026 Avengers: Doomsday. Victor Von Doom continues to be one of Marvel’s best-known supervillains, as he has been since his Marvel Comics debut in 1962. The Fantastic Four #5. Over the years, Doctor Doom has established connections with many notable superheroes, and a new Marvel novel continues this, tying him into the Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver’s story.
Doctor Doom has shared the page with the Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver several times in Marvel Comics history, but the new story includes a dramatic change in the trio’s relationship. This comes shortly after the revelation that Robert Downey Jr. Avengers: Doomsday And secret wars As the new primary antagonist of the Multiverse Saga. Marvel’s new novel could hint at a possible storyline for Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom, which would be game-changing for the MCU.

Marvel’s new Scarlet Witch novel introduces a new Von Doom
Released in August, a new novel by Marvel, titled “What If… Wanda Maximoff and Peter Parker Were Siblings?: A Scarlet Witch Story,” has a dramatic twist that could change Doctor Doom’s own story in the MCU. In the novel, SHIELD agents Mary and Richard Parker adopted young Wanda Maximoff while on a mission in Latveria, while her brother, Pietro, was adopted by Doctor Doom.. Years later, Wanda, a student of Doctor Strange and niece to Aunt May, meets her twin brother, the speedster Pietro Von Doom.

This would allow Marvel Studios to debut two very different Von Dooms.

After introducing Pietro Von Doom in a new Marvel novel, Marvel Studios will introduce a Doctor Doom variant that looks exactly like Tony Stark in the MCU’s Phase 6. Although it seems that Downey Jr. will play Victor Von Doom, there is speculation that he could also be a Stark variant who became the iconic villain. This would show Marvel introducing many different iterations of Doctor DoomTwisting its mythology and playing with multiversal concepts rather than adapting its actual story, that could be a very smart move to distance this version from previous live-action disappointments.
