The Green Lantern Corps has been taken over by a madman and it has ripple effects throughout the cosmos. As Sinestro prepares to settle things, he deputizes two surprising men to look for something important to him.
in Evil Sons #6 By Peter J. Tomasi and Vasco Georgiev, Korg, aka Sinson, confronts Sinestro and tells him how Korg believes they are father and son. Sinestro responds by instigating a fight, causing Korg’s frenemy Lor-Zod to come to his defense. However, Korg goes insane when Lor-Zod attacks Sinestro, causing Korg to use the Red Lantern energy.
Sinestro stops the fight and reveals that he provoked their battle to see if Sinson could access and control the red light. satisfied, Sinestro leaves the boys in charge of the Korugar Defense Force while he heads for space.
The evil sons are in charge of Sinestro’s planet
Korg wanted nothing more than to prove that he was Thaal Sinestro’s son. After Karg overthrew his overseer, Karg stole a ship belonging to Lor-Zod, who tried to recapture it. Unfortunately for the two boys, the ship was consumed by a space whale that sent them all across the cosmos. After surviving in the whale’s belly for an indeterminate amount of time, Lor-Zod and Korg were saved by Sinestra, who took a slight liking to the latter.. He brought them both to New Korugar in exchange for their help cleaning up after the Yellow Central Power Battery explosion.
Sinestro’s core is almost non-existent thanks to Lord Premier Thaaros blowing up the central power batteries. But Sinestro’s greatest loyalty has always been to his people and he would never leave them without some kind of protection. Granted, Lor-Zod only had a fraction of the power of a fully-grown Kryptonian and Sinson had just learned how to access his Red Lantern powers. But Sinestro wouldn’t just leave Anyone Look at New Korugar, so he obviously believes in the boys. While they had only just started leading the Korugar Defense Force, This could be a fantastic opportunity for both evil sons.
The new work of the evil sons will help them prove themselves
Korg wants to show Sinestro he has what it takes to be worthy of the family name (even if he is unsure of their connection). He is not going to sleep when it comes to protecting the field from his father figure. Although Lor-Zod does not have a strong connection to New Korugar, the young Kryptonian is determined to show his father, General Zod, that he does not need the House of Zod to survive in the world. They could not take on Green LanternBut the evil sons have a golden opportunity as the new leaders of the Korugar Defense Force.
