I’m excited about Mavuika’s leaked animations in Genshin Impact 5.3 in a way I haven’t seen since I first saw Xiao in action in 1.3. Pyro Archon is expected to be one of the new playable characters in version 5.3 of the action RPG upgrade alongside Pyro Traveler, for example. Mavuika is a known NPC since before the arrival of the Pyro Nation and since version 5.0 she has been an ally of the Traveler. Now, after several character updates and releases, Mavuika is listed among the leaked playable characters in Genshin Impact 5.3.
HoYoverse hasn’t yet detailed her as a character, but beta testing for the patch has already begun and, with them, leaks about upcoming content have started to emerge as well. The leaks also include mentions of events taking place during the update, such as the annual Lantern Rite Festival. Of course, information about new characters tends to be the highlight of any beta test leakand those related to the Pyro Archon, his kit and his animations are making me particularly excited to draw Mavuika into Genshin Impact 5.3 in a way that hasn’t happened in years.
Mavuika’s animations in Genshin Impact 5.3 leaked
In a now-deleted video, the leaked set of animations used by Mavuika in version 5.3 have been showcased, highlighting how she moves and fights her opponents when using her Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst abilities. The video was obtained by the leaker known as Dim and then shared in a post tagged “Reliable” about Reddit. The leaked footage showed Mavuika using her claymore to attack in a very elegant and skillful manner, which goes hand in hand with the tradition-related fact that she has been practicing this style for centuries in Genshin ImpactNatlan region.
The leaked video also showcased the two forms of Mavuika’s Elemental Skill. The first sees her summon Rings of Searing Radiance, which follow the active character and somewhat resemble Raiden Shogun’s Chakra Desiderata. Although not explained in the video, this ability, according to the character’s entry into the World of honey huntersDistributes Nightsoul-aligned Pyro DMG to nearby enemies at a fixed range – this can be used as a sub-DPS ability off the field. The second form of his Elemental Burst, as seen in the video, sees his All-Fire Armament manifest as a Flamestrider, and his hair glows. Genshin Impact.
In this version of the leaked Elemental Skill, it is possible to summon and ride the Flamestrider motorcycle, which increases its movement speed and allows it to climb walls and even fly, like Chasca. Additionally, This special state also transforms your normal, charged, and dive attacks to deal Nightsoul-aligned Pyro DMG, an effect that cannot be countered.according to Honey Hunter World. While riding Mavuika’s mount Genshin Impact 5.3, the character will attack from above the Flamestrider without necessarily leaving it. When running with the Flamestrider, Mavuika deals Pyro DMG to enemies in her path.
As seen in the video and confirmed by the description of her abilities in Honey Hunter World, Mavuika’s Burst does not rely on energy, but on a mechanic called Fighting Spirit. When she builds up to at least 50%, she can release her Burst. She leaps her Flamestrider into the air and performs a downward slash called Sunfell Slice.. This attack deals AoE Nightsoul-aligned Pyro DMG and causes her to enter the Crucible of Death and Life state. In this state, Mavuika can use her special actions to deal Elemental Damage to opponents without consuming her Nightsoul points. Genshin Impact.
Although her abilities are technically very attractive from a damage-dealing perspective, the character’s leaked animations might be enough to motivate me to root for her. I’ve been tempted by several character releases over the years and have invested heavily in expanding my playable character roster with units that have abilities that I find fun to use and visually stunning.. This includes characters like Yelan, who is also my main sub-DPS, Xianyun and Arlecchino in Genshin Impact. All the animations and kits for these characters impressed me, so I went out of my way to get them.
Mavuika’s leaks make me think of my obsession with Xiao in Genshin Impact four years ago
Despite loving other characters, only Xiao captivated me enough to force me to invest money
However, there has only been one character that I was completely obsessed with to the point that I actually spent money to make sure I got them at launch and didn’t have to wait for a repeat banner: Xiao. Liyue’s 5-star Anemo character was the first one I connected with during the early stages of the game. Despite loving the gameplay and its variety, no character felt permanent in my team compositions before Xiao in Genshin Impact. I remember being surprised by its deep attacks and HP-consuming damage, which felt very innovative in version 1.3.
Over the years, I got used to new units revolutionizing the established pattern in gameplay. Xianyun, for example, felt like a necessary pull, but one that I would accept getting on a replay banner if I had no luck with my 50/50. As much as I love Arlecchino, I could also wait for it to be rerun on banners. The feeling established by Mavuika’s leaked animations and game kit, however, feels more like the one I had with Xiao: an absolutely indispensable character.even though she is a Pyro DPS in Genshin Impactwhich I have already discussed.
The uniqueness of his dual form activated by his leaked Elemental Skill already looks great, and the visual effects that accompany it are incredible. Furthermore, the leaked footage confirms that Mavuika has one of the most broken mounts in Natlan’s character roster, being able to do almost everything every other mount does individually. If that wasn’t enough, the ability to operate as a sub-DPS and main DPS is extremely attractive for team compositions as it offers great flexibility. Mavuika’s main fighting stance on her Flamestrider in Genshin Impact is also something to consider.
Mounts like hers aren’t exactly new to the game, as they were introduced with Mualani and Kachina in version 5.0, but Mavuika’s combat animations are simply extraordinary. The last little piece of information shown in the video is his exclusive 5-star claymore, which is just beautiful. The combination of all factors, including the claymore’s leaked abilities, which can also be seen in World of honey hunterswill force me to invest in Mavuika and her weapon.
While leaks are always taken with a grain of salt, I can’t help but be excited for Mavuika’s release. Luckily, I haven’t pulled for anyone since Mualani, so I’ve saved up a large number of Primogems to invest exclusively in Mavuika and her exclusive claymore when the time is right. I hope Mavuika becomes what Xiao has been for me so far: one of my favorite DPS characters to use in Genshin Impactmainly because of its cool set of animations.
