One of the best features introduced in Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket are the newly introduced immersive cards. These special collectibles contain exclusive animated artwork from TCG Pocket and are highly sought after by players around the world due to their rarity and special illustrations. There are currently only four immersive cards in the game: PikachuCharizard, Mewtwo and a secret Mew card.
With the recent announcement of more boosters releasing later this year, many players are hoping that future generations will have more focus. The most logical step would be a strong focus on Generation 2as it contains many Pokémon that are incredibly popular to this day. Even with all the options available, it is likely that only a few will actually be selected.
Which Legendary and Mythical Pokémon will be selected?
There’s potential for some truly incredible works of art
Since Mewtwo was selected to be one of the few Pokémon to receive an immersive card, it seems only right that one of the Johto Legendaries will also receive one. Both Ho-oh and Lugia are incredibly popular, but between the two box art Legendaries Ho-oh seems like the most likely candidate. Its ability to create rainbows would create truly beautiful works of art that would look fantastic when animated.
Assuming more Mythical Pokémon are also likely candidates to be featured in immersive cards, Celebi seems like a very likely inclusion. Celebi is not only very beautiful and graceful, but also one of the strongest Grass-type Pokémon. This would be a very interesting and unique piece of animated art that many would love to get their hands on.
Which Gen 2 Starter will be featured on a wraparound card?
Popularity and power are important considerations
Charizard was one of the most sought after immersive cards in the world. Genetic Apex set, which raises the question of which Gen 2 starter will receive a wraparound card of their own. Feraligatr seems to be the most likely choice due to his popularity and immense power.
As beautiful as a Meganium card can be, it isn’t as popular as the other two Johto starters, which makes it less likely to get an engaging card. And while Typhlosion is incredibly popular, as Charizard has already received a card, it would be very likely that another Fire-type starter wouldn’t be picked up for a while.
With how amazing immersive cards are TCG Pocket, It only makes sense that later generations will get their fair share in the future. Not only would Legendaries like Ho-oh feature incredible artwork, but starters like Feraligatr would undoubtedly be highly sought after due to their immense popularity. Ultimately, only time will tell if Gen 2 Pokémon will receive engaging cards Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket.
