Madden NFL 25 is the latest entry in the series and it makes several improvements from Madden NFL 24. The game uses the same tried-and-true formula of the long-running franchise, throwing players into games as athletes and sports managers.
Players can progress through their career in Madden NFL 25s Superstar mode and unlock useful skills to push to the best game. Team management is another core aspect of the game, giving players the opportunity to create their own dream teams. Teams are fully customized, including the logo, colors and design of the uniforms.

The new game has the most realistic physics ever in the form of the innovative BOOM tech, which was introduced in the title. The tech factors in a huge number of variables – such as speed, weight, rating, hit direction, and more – to determine the outcome of each movement and tackle.
Further updates aim for authenticity to ensure that each of the game’s famous football names is represented as true to life as possible, down to their positions and pre-game styles. The game even changed player default animations to be more true-to-life and responsive to the situation. Instead of idling around, players on the field now use situational hand signals and body language.
Madden NFL 25 is out now for PC, Xbox and PlayStation consoles. The game will be completely free to play for PS5 and Xbox this weekend, just in time to celebrate the NFL season.
