I believe The Bachelor’s Maria Georgas is being held accountable for Bachelorette villain Devin Strader’s wrongs

The bachelorMaria Georgas has finally spoken out after her name was dragged into Jenn Tran’s breakup with Devin Strader during The Bachelorette Finale, and I believe that she becomes responsible for someone else’s faults. Maria, who was introduced along with Jen on The bachelor Season 28 starring Joey Graziadei, was originally the front-runner to lead the last season of The Bachelorette. While many felt that Joey’s runner-up, Daisy Kent, would wind up to become the next lead, Maria was the next most popular choice and ultimately is what Bachelor People were cheering to become the next lead.

Maria initially accepted the offer to lead The Bachelorette Season 21, and while the announcement was meant to be officially made during the finale of The bachelor Season 28, she chose to step back from the series before it was announced. Maria said that she was excited about the idea that she could become the next lead, but UFinally did not want to take on the pressurized role to find love. Instead, Jen became the lead and Maria returned to her normal life. Now, with more drama unfolding, Maria is pulled into something she didn’t want to be a part of.

During The Bachelorette: After the Final Rose, It was revealed that Jenn and Devin ended their engagement just a few months after filming of the season wrapped. While Jen was ecstatic to find the love of her life, believing it to be Devin, things got rocky for the couple after filming ended for The Bachelorette Season 21. With Devin unsure where his heart truly lay, He shared with Jenn that he wasn’t sure he wanted to be with her and ended things over a text message.

While Jen is visibly hurt and angry with Devin, she explains that one of the things that hurt more than the broken text message was that after they split, she noticed that he was out with someone else. Bachelorette Contestant and Maria the following night. Jen knew that the majority of her workshop was interested in MariaWhom were they all thrown at, when she was supposed to be the leader. Sharing that she was hurt by Devin potentially wanting to pursue Maria, especially so quickly, Jen was open with her hurt feelings.

Maria released a statement about her involvement in the Bachelorette breakup

She explains her side of the story succinctly

Although she was quiet about the drama of The Bachelorette Season 21, which involved many of Jenn’s cast members wishing they had the chance to get to know Maria instead of Jenn, Maria talked about her name being brought up in the drama. Sharing that she’s totally on Jen’s side, even though they’re no longer friends, Maria said she was not interested in continuing to participate in the narrative surrounding the series. How she’d rejected the role of bachelorette, Maria did not want to be brought into the Bachelorette Drama after the factEspecially when she didn’t do anything.

Jenn & Maria aren’t friends anymore, but Maria shouldn’t be blamed for Devin’s choices

Women should not be held responsible for men’s actions

Although Maria and Jen seemed to have tension surrounding Devin’s drama, it quickly became clear from Maria’s statement that she had no ill will towards Jen. Instead, she is blamed in many ways by Bachelor Nation for Devin’s injustice. Although Maria enjoyed her time outside the show with people who shared similar experiences, Devin’s responsibility to be emotionally mature about his relationship with Jen, even after it ended, was clearly not something he cared about. Devin’s actions should not make Maria a villain for Bachelor Folk.

I believe that Bachelor People blame Maria for Jen’s heartbreak, and it’s not her fault That Devin and many of the other guys this season are incapable of acting like emotionally mature adults. Devin and The Bachelorette Producers are what viewers should look to if they want to blame and find someone responsible for Jen’s heartbreak, especially after creating impossible circumstances for Jen to succeed and ignoring the emotional weight of decisions respectively. Devin is the problem at the end of the day, still looking for Maria The Bachelorette Engagement came to a catastrophic end.
