Hot on the heels of “Bad Blood” WWE Collapse opened at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, South Carolina with the latest installment of The Bloodline Saga. Jimmy Uso arrived following his return to PLE last weekend and was quickly joined by Roman Reigns. to continue their reunion. The night didn’t go well for the pair as Solo Sikoa beat the returning Uso in the night’s main event and Reigns ended the show with a brutal loss to The Bloodline, managed by Jacob Fatu.
Los Angeles Knight successfully defended his United States Championship against Carmelo Hayes, while Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill also left Greensville with their team gold. Nia Jax found herself on the receiving end of the Raw invasion, taking hits from Liv Morgan and Rhea Ripley, as well Kevin Owens rushed to the show to confront Cody Rhodes and attack Randy Orton.ending the two’s long-standing friendship.
Friday Night SmackDown
Prove that this will definitely not be a B-category show
What a show! Burning from the first segment to the last seconds, this night confirms SmackDown will not play as Monday Night Raw’s little brother ahead of the latter’s move to Netflix in January. The return of Roman Reigns, the terror of Kevin Owens, two title matches, surprise run-ins with Raw, the Bloodline Civil War main event and a successful NXT debut. It was one hell of a SmackDown.
Speaking of Monday night, it was nice to see several members of the Raw team who weren’t really involved make an appearance before Crown Jewel. While Liv Morgan was somewhat of a surprise, Rhea Ripley’s arrival to clean house and destroy Nia Jax was a shock. Everything about the Kevin Owens situation is exciting. Since next week’s show has already confirmed Andrade’s seventh game against Carmelo, Watching SmackDown seems necessary at this point. Without a doubt, the WWE blue brand is hot right now.
Pedigree history
Roman’s full return starts a new story
Some Internet users may not have liked it, but WWE spent this summer introducing everyone to a new version of The Bloodline.. The Solo Sikoa SummerSlam main event is arguably the second biggest show of the year. If Jacob Fatu hasn’t been in the general public’s spotlight, he sure as hell is now. Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa currently hold more WWE gold than Roman Reigns. It really feels like most episodes of SmackDown end with The Bloodline standing tall.
All this was done in order to prepare the return of Roman as a triumphant hero. Roman’s return has already sent Kevin Owens over the edge and started chaos between Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton. Tonight, after Roman voted down the idea of getting back together with Jay, Jimmy Uso had to remind Reigns that he is currently the leader of a tribe without a tribe.. Jacob Fatu hitting a thunderous dropkick in the corner on Reigns felt huge due to The Bloodline’s summer. The Solo bloodline making Roman look human at the end of the show felt significant. These guys are serious. Believe it.
Women’s Team Championship
The champions had a lot of TV time
If Los Angeles Knight feels like a fighting champion, let’s give him up in favor of Women’s Tag Team Champions Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill. It was their fourth defense of their titles in 41 days. On Monday this number will increase to five championship defenses in 44 days when they face Damage CTRL on Raw. Say what you will about champions, they give everyone the opportunity to come and get something.
This leads to regular identification of talent in the women’s division. NXT call-ups Jakara Jackson and Lash Legend made an impression here, despite a short match and being interrupted by a crazy Kevin Owens. Unholy Union and Damage CTRL had their chances, and Pure Fusion Collective may not be far behind them. It’s an exciting time for the tag team in the women’s division.
Los Angeles Knight
Another successful title defense. Yeah!
Since he became US champion, LA Knight spent the summer improving the SmackDown mid-card. The novelty of regularly protecting the belt is that everyone benefits. Just a few weeks ago it was Santos Escobar and the surprise challenge of Ludwig Kaiser in Germany. More recently, the incredible feud between Andrade and Carmelo Hayes benefited from Knight’s presence. Both men earned title shots thanks to superior wrestling.
Even though he was a fighting champion, it feels like Los Angeles Knight is still looking for the final fight for his title reign. His popularity with live audiences shows no signs of slowing down. His matches were great. What he needs is competition to bring out the best in him.
Kevin Owens
The most interesting character on WWE TV right now
After Bad Blood went off the air and The Rock made his presence known to a triumphant Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes, a man from Quebec took center stage. Kevin Owens attacking WWE Champion Cody Rhodes outside his tour bus was only captured on cell phone cameras, and his actions were treated with unnatural seriousness. No penalties for KO. Just ambiguous broadcast messages about the consequences. Well, to hell with the consequences.
Making his way through the crowd, Owens took the microphone and hit the ring during his entrance to the Women’s Tag Team Championship match. His crazy behavior and WWE muting Knockout’s mic when he started talking felt like a real guerrilla.. Having already shown his disdain for Cody, his friendship with Randy Orton ended. This man has suffered more at the hands of Roman Reigns than anyone else, and he will not accept what is happening. Next time Kevin Owens will be given a microphone that will be electric.
Nia Jax
The Queen is under attack from all sides
Things have been going pretty well for Nia Jax, but things can change quickly in WWE. She was ecstatic about her successful Women’s Championship defense over Bayley at Bad Blood, Tiffany Stratton still had her MITB briefcase, and The Queen felt energized ahead of her meeting with Liv Morgan at Crown Jewel.. That is until Raw Women’s Champion The Dirty House and Raquel Rodriguez arrived unannounced and Naomi challenged her to an impromptu non-title match.
Just minutes later, Nia Jax would find herself on her back after being attacked by Liv Morgan with Tiffany Stratton’s briefcase and then losing to Naomi before she became collateral damage to Rhea Ripley’s destruction of Doomsday.. Her commercial this week was full of malice towards Ms Stratton. There could be a lot more to where this comes from after she was made to look weak on SmackDown this week.
Randy Orton
Noble actions landed the Viper in the dirt
It’s impossible not to feel sympathy for Randy Orton. Thanks to his long-term friendship with Cody Rhodes and his incredibly sweet partnership with Kevin Owens, it seemed that Viper had finally made peace with his friends and the support of a real band of brothers. Depending on your point of view, the return of Roman Reigns or the recent actions of Kevin Owens put an end to this for good.
When Kevin Owens tried to blame Cody Rhodes for attacking him and the Champion entered the ring for retribution, Orton stopped the violence and became a peacemaker before retaliating with a knockout by punching his friend. He walked to the backyard to assure Rhodes that he could handle Kevin Owens’ temper. He ended the night lying on the concrete as Owens left the arena for good. Whatever they are, Orton’s next steps will be exciting.
