GTA fans have the perfect idea for Rockstar’s next big franchise

While the world waits patiently for news of the sixth Grand Theft Auto, Rockstar Games fans come together to brainstorm potential new franchises. Although the legendary developer was once known for hosting a wide variety of games, the success Grand Craft Auto 5, and subsequently Grand theft auto online, saw that his active IP addresses had decreased. Bye Red Dead Redemption 2 was a huge hit in its own right, the failure of the multiplayer mode may have pushed Rockstar to put all its eggs into GTAprofitable basket.

On Reddit, user RogerRoger63358 asked the community what they thought about futuristic Grand Theft Autoas a spin-off of the main series, incorporating elements of science fiction and cyberpunk.

Players were ambivalent about this idea, but a commentator vi______________ proposed a compromise option Rockstar’s open-world science fiction game that exists as its own franchise, separate from Grand Theft Autoan idea that received a lot of praise from fans. The general consensus is that many players want Rockstar to take on the sci-fi genre as a standalone project inspired by GTA but the action does not take place in the same world.

GTA could be a great cyberpunk

This may be inspired by CD Projekt Red

As a role play, Cyberpunk 2077 doesn’t play at all like Grand Theft Auto series, but it really does provide a great blueprint for how to build a sci-fi open world.. Rockstar’s ability to create detailed, complex environments filled with weirdness and unexpected storytelling can work in an environment as familiar but foreign as a cyberpunk city. Taking some of the genre’s tropes and incorporating them into an adventure game can create a fun experience similar to Saints Row 4.

Rockstar may also be able to fix some of the major issues that players have been experiencing. Cyberpunk 2077 if the studio ever goes down the route of developing an open world sci-fi game. Even after several significant updates, CDPR’s RPG can feel a bit robotic with stilted NPCs and events that happen on a timer rather than organically.. Rockstar’s attention to detail and ability to make digital worlds come alive could solve a major problem with 2077even if programming such an environment takes years.

Grand Theft Auto The series has always reveled in its ability to parody modern life, so I believe Rockstar’s biting satire of technology and society will translate well into the cyberpunk genre.. The studio is incredibly talented at developing open worlds, so on a technical level, I think they could do a good job bringing a dystopian future to life. Will he ever leave comfort GTA It’s doubtful at this point, but I can’t help but think that Rockstar’s new sci-fi project is likely to be a hit.
