When it comes to raw instant power in Baldur’s Gate 3Few can hold a candle to the born talented magician. Drawing their magic from one of three bloodline subclasses, they have continued to be the most popular spellcasting class, according to data from Larian Studios. With such awesome magic at their fingertips, knowing what equipment will help them reach their full potential is important.

I can personally attest to how much fun playing a Sorcerer is, with the only drawback being the more limited number of spells at your disposal. But there are some great things Which are fantastic for any Sorcerer build in BG3. With a good mix of Buffs to spellcasting and some much-needed protectionThese items are absolutely worth tracking down for your next playthrough.

As already mentioned, one of the few downsides to playing a sorcerer is the limited number of spells to use. Any item that gives you more options in a fight is a choice, and these Shifting corpus ring

At third level, both of these are great defensive spells for a spellcaster. The ring can be looted from Fist Marcus if Isobel is sided with him after defeating him at Last Light Inn in Act 2.

This is a fantastic piece of clothing for spellcasters, as on top of providing plus two to AC, it also grants a plus one bonus to spell save DCs and attack rolls. However, what really makes it stand out is that it will Heal the wearer 1d6 hit points each time they succeed at a saving throw against a spellMaking it perfect to hold the Sorcerer up in tough fights.

Given by Alfira in Act 2 as a reward for completing the quest – Save the deep ones. In addition to giving a plus one to AC, these robes have two brilliant features for Charisma-based spellcasters. The first Makes the wearer’s cantrips take extra damage equal to their Charisma modifierwhile the second gives the wearer temporary hit points. At the start of the Sorcerer’s turn in combat, the robe’s feature will activate, giving them temporary hit points equal to their Charisma modifier.

Coat of the Weaver – Very rare coat

Can be purchased in Act 3 from Helsik’s Special Stock

Cloak of the Weave provides a plus one bonus to all spell DCs and spell attack rolls, which also stacks with other items that have the same effect, such as its companion piece, Robe of the Weave. Once per short rest, the coat will too Allow the wearer to take half damage from an elemental attack and then use the energy to deal 1d6 of that elemental damage on their next attack. This rare coat can be purchased from Helsinki’s special warehouse, which RAZ Shows how to unlock.

Spellseeking Gloves – Rare gloves

Also available from Helsik’s special stock are the Spellseeking Gloves, a pair of rare gloves that are tailor-made for wizards. The gloves give a new option when you use Sorcery Points and spend them to Gain advantage on instant attack rolls. The search spell feature only works on spells that require an attack roll and cost one Sorcery Point per spell level, with cantrips costing one point. While a lot of higher level sorcerer spells require saving throws, the gloves are a great way to ensure that an upcast attack spell like Scorching beam

will hit its target.

The bane of any spellcaster is spell slot management, but it can be made much easier with the right equipment. The Spillcrux Amulet

is fantastic for magicians, as it allows them to Regain a spell slot of any level as a bonus action once per long rest. Best of all, this spell slot will remain even if the amulet is removed, which is why I keep it on both my Cleric and Sorcerer during their playthroughs. Found in Moonrise Towers Prison, this awesome amulet can be looted from the Garden while breaking the prisoners there.

Robe of supreme defenses – very rare clothing

Can be purchased in Act 3 from Ferg Drogher’s Special Stock

The robe of supreme defenses is great for wizards, as it helps with concentration on spells, many of which are extremely powerful or beneficial. While wearing the robe and concentrating on a spell, the magician will be able to Add their spellcasting modifier to any of their saving throws and get a plus one bonus to AC. The robe can be purchased from Ferg Drugger, which can be found in Rivington, near the requisitioned bar, and RAZ Has a video to show how to unlock the merchant’s special stock.

Ring of Regeneration – Very rare ring

Ring of Regeneration is fantastic and works well for any class, making it a great item for paladins or barbarians for tanking. However, it’s also brilliant for party members who have fewer hit points and may need extra help to stay in the fight when things get tough. While wearing the ring, the magician will Gain 1d4 hit points at the start of their turn in combat. These effects will only trigger while in combat, but will heal the wearer even if they are at full health, topping them up every turn.

Mourning Frost – Very rare quarterstaff

The Secret Sorrow Frost of Act 1 is an awesome staff, and while wielding this plus one quarter staff, the sorcerer will do 1d4 cold damage if used as a melee weapon. Sadness Frost

And when the wielder deals cold damage to a target, the staff will grant an extra one point of cold damage. But the best part is that Every time cold damage is dealt, there is a chance to inflict Chill on the targetMaking them vulnerable to cold and, if they are made wet, will freeze them solid.

Sorrow Frost pairs wonderfully with draconic bloodline wizards who gather either white or silver draconic ancestry.

Can be bought or looted from the Mummy Lord Mystic Carrion in Act 3. The mummy can be found in the decrepit-looking Philgrave’s mansion, and the party will need to find a way into the seemingly sealed building. Just like with the mantle and coat, This hood boosts the wearer’s spell, save DC and spell attack rolls. However, unlike its companion pieces, the bust this time is plus two, which stacks with the robe and coat for a brilliant plus four bonus.

Alas – very rare quarterstaff

Woe is an incredibly cool-looking stick that can be looted from Cazador after beating him as part of Asarion’s personal quest in Act 3. As well as boosting spell save DCs and spell attack rolls by one, Woe also The wilder heals 1d4 hit points each time a target fails a saving throw for one of their spells. Woe also allows the wielder to cast the necromantic spell sheet

At fourth level once per long rest, and it counts as a bound weapon, preventing the sorcerer using it from being disarmed.

. Along with giving a plus one bonus to spell save DCs and spell attack rolls, the staff has a toggleable feature that allows a spell to be cast without using a spell slot once per long rest. However, Markoheshkir’s best feature is Kereska’s favor, which Grants a boost to damage and two new spells based on six elemental damage types. For example, Frost of Dark Winter boosts cold damage and grants the spells Ice storm
