Warning! Spoilers ahead Green Arrow #16!Evil Justice League plaguing the DC Universe have one of the greatest powers in history, which has helped them bring the DC Universe to its knees. In an instant, Amanda Waller’s new Amazo team, Task Force VII, was able to steal the powers of DC’s greatest heroes.
Wonder Woman, Superman and even the Specter were not strong enough to withstand their power stealing abilities. But it’s not just their ability to take charge that makes them a force to be reckoned with. The members of Task Force VII have a special power that gives them a serious advantage over the heroes whose powers they stole.
DC’s League of Evil Justice League Has a Chrono-Healing Factor
All the strengths of Justice League without the weaknesses
IN Green Arrow #16 Joshua Williamson, Amankay Nahuelpan, Sean Isaacse, Romulo Fajardo Jr. and Troy Peteri, Amanda Waller is outraged by the heroes’ attempts to undermine her takeover. Unfortunately for her, two of her agents, Green Arrow and Bright, get into a fight on top of a cargo plane. Bright is going to kill Team Arrow, but Oliver won’t let that happen. With Green Arrow joined by his son Connor Hawke, the two archers manage to defeat Bright while Arsenal pilots the plane. and takes Team Arrow to the Justice League’s old base..
Once they arrive at the newly renamed Hall of Order, Team Arrow attacks their leader, asking why he ever worked with Amanda Waller. Green Arrow reveals that he tried to keep them out of trouble, but now that they have interfered, Queen has no choice but to order Waller’s Task Force agents to arrest Team Arrow. The heroes are prepared to be transported to Waller’s prison on Gamorra while Anthony Ivo, the original creator of Amazo, attempts to escape. But Green Arrow makes plans for Ivo and brings him to the Hall of Order..
Inside the Hall, Ivo admires Task Force VII’s design, noting that Failsafe has greatly improved on Ivo’s original Amazo design. Ivo notes that Task Force VII didn’t just absorb the heroes’ powers, the Amazo managed to bypass any weaknesses associated with them with an enhanced “chrono-healing factor”, something Ivo would like to think about. Satisfied with Ivo’s conclusions about the evil Justice League’s power sets.Green Arrow fires the villain and returns to work on something in secret.
The new Justice League has become stronger than the original
Task Force VII can repair any damage as it occurs.
Failsafe worked closely with Time Commander on the Amazos update, and it appears that the update allows Androids to instantly repair any damage as soon as they receive it. This explains why nothing the heroes threw at Task Force VII worked. Even if someone like the Last Son, the team’s “Superman”, was exposed to kryptonite, his healing factor would instantly return the machine gun to its previously undamaged state. No matter what, nothing can truly hurt Amanda Waller’s version of the Justice League.
Obviously if you compare Task Force VII to the Justice League at this point, they are more powerful considering they stole the heroes’ powers. But it’s a completely different story when you compare them at the peak of their careers. Yes, with heroes like Wonder Woman and the Flash on their side, the Justice League is undoubtedly one of the strongest teams in comics (maybe fiction) to ever exist. But Amanda Waller and Failsafe’s improvements to Task Force VII gave them an advantage that puts the original Justice League to shame.
Don’t forget to read Absolute Power: Ground Zero #1 (2024) see Waller bring back Time Commander to improve Task Force VII!
Over the years, the Justice League has faced several villainous versions of their famous squad (Crime Syndicate, Dark Knights, etc.). But unlike those teams, who had their own powers and abilities, Task Force VII literally has the exact power levels of the Justice League. Honestly, they are even more powerful considering they also stole the powers of hundreds of other heroes. But what really sets the Amazo team apart is the healing factor, which makes Flash’s rapidly healing appearance look downright pathetic. It’s hard to beat the originals but Task Force VII’s outrageous healing factor gives them an advantage that the Justice League cannot overcome..
Can the Justice League defeat Task Force VII?
Powers Plus Healing Factor – a dangerous combination
It was no longer easy for a powerless team of heroes to defeat a squad of super-powerful robots. But what’s even worse is knowing that the team has a healing factor that can undo any damage (even if the heroes find a way to harm Task Force VII). Luckily, Green Arrow is secretly doing some work related to time travel relics, so he may have found the key to defeating Waller’s robots. If you’re lucky, Justice League will be able to overcome Amazo’s healing factor and return everything to normal.
