After disrespecting Clea, Strange tails the tyrant, warning him that Even the likes of Doctor Doom, who Strange openly admits he fears, know better than to disrespect Clea.. To Strange, Doom isn’t just another powerful wizard, he’s a threat.

As Marvel continues to usher in a new era defined by the power of Doctor Doom, heroes and villains alike will soon bow to Doctor Strange’s successor.
Many years later, when speaking to Billy Maximoff, Strange even admits to the young sorcerer that if he ever regained the title of Sorcerer Supreme, Doctor Doom would be a likely choice for the Vishanti to choose as the next Lord of Sorcerers. This would inevitably become a reality when, to end the vampire onslaught of the Blood dog, Strange handed over his cloak to Doctor Doom. The magical monarch immediately proved himself worthy of his new charge by weaving together every known source of magic to reverse the Darkhold’s powers, a feat no magician had ever done before.
Doctor Strange is right to fear Doctor Doom. Doom is a ruthlessly driven man who will stop at nothing to achieve his vision of world peace. As arrogant and selfish as he can be, Victor Von Doom has proven himself over and over to be a master at most anything he dedicates himself to.
