Wonder has once again made some major changes to its symbiote lore, as the latest twist on the publisher’s most dangerous alien species is set to be uncovered by none other than Carnage. While exploring a lab, Carnage comes across A shocking conspiracy to weaponize symbiotes, in an upgrade that could have a significant impact on the future of the Marvel Universe.

Venom War: Carnage #2 – by writer Torunn Grønbekk and artist Pere Pérez – finds Carnage using possession to take over Finn Taylor’s body, and he uses the new body to infiltrate Finn’s lab. It is here that Carnage sees exactly what the K-Project is, and it may be surprising to some readers.

It seems that the K-Project is about selling symbiotes on an almost industrial scale. This would completely change how wars are fought in the Marvel Universe, and it would certainly have devastating consequences.

If the new symbiotes were little more than mindless suits, they would make the perfect improvement to whatever organization used them.

Symbiotes are incredible aliens. They are able to increase the endurance, strength of a user and give them incredible abilities. It is no surprise that some group would try to weaponize them over and over again. The scientists in this preview even mention an auction, probably where they will try and sell this new brainless version of symbiotes. The problem with symbiotes has always been their ability to resist or even directly take over their host, But creating a symbiote that has no mind of its own would completely solve the problem.
