On Stranger Tides and there were only cameo roles Dead men tell no tales. Pirates of the Caribbean producer Jerry Bruckheimer spoke about Depp’s potential return, sharing “Of course, if it were up to me. I love having Depp… He’s a great actor and a good friend… I’ve talked to him, of course, but we’ll see what happens.” This confirms that Depp is still involved in conversations about returning to the franchise.and, most importantly, had these conversations with Bruckheimer, who produced all the previous films and will be involved in the next one. Following the allegations against him, Disney reportedly cut ties with Depp, unwilling to pursue his return to the franchise. Following the conclusion of the lawsuit, the former Disney executive shared his belief that the chances of Depp returning as part of the reboot are high, although it’s important to note that this comment about Depp’s return was purely speculative.

Pirates of the Caribbean shouldn’t try to replace Jack Sparrow (even if he doesn’t return)

New characters don’t have to be the next Jack Sparrow

Regardless of whether Depp returns Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, Disney shouldn’t try to replace his character. Jack is a unique character, brought to life by Depp’s excellent performance. Any attempt to replace Jack with another character would be pointless. and would not live up to the beloved reputation that has surrounded Jack since he was first introduced aboard the rapidly sinking ship at the beginning Curse of the Black Pearl. No other character can create the same level of chaos, humor and daring that made Jack an appealing wild card in the first place.

Instead of trying to create the next Jack Sparrow, the franchise should focus on introducing new pirate protagonists that are noticeably different from Jack. As the series title suggests, the story ends up being about the many pirates who occupied the Caribbean, not just a pirate named Jack Sparrow. The first three films have already proven how successful a story can be when it’s led by a trio of main characters, rather than just Jack being at the forefront of the narrative. A new trio could come to the fore in Pirates of the Caribbean 6.

New characters can still be connected to Jack, Elizabeth, Will.and other recognized Pirates of the Caribbean characters including Hector Barbossa (Geoffrey Rush), Henry Turner (Brenton Thwaites) and Karina Smith (Kaya Scodelario). Some of these familiar faces might even appear in the next installment of the franchise. New presenter Pirates of the Caribbean The characters would have their own stories and expand the scope of who pirates are and what they are capable of as they search for mystical treasures and chart a new course for the series.
