Pokémon TCG leak shows off new special illustration rare card for Surging Sparks

A newly revealed Pokemon trading card game Card features a different version of the Dragon Trainer Lycia with her Altaria. Players will have a low chance of getting this rare painting version of the Paradise Dragona Card. This card will be an alternate version of Lisia’s Appeal, and have the same effect, allowing players to switch into one of their opponent’s Benched Basic Pokemon and apply the “Confused” status to them.

The new card, spotted on PokéBeachSports a dynamic full-frame illustration of the Dragon Pokemon Trainer Lycia reaching out to the viewer with a wink. It also shows Eli, Lycia’s Altaria, in the background. The painting plays up the couple’s pop-god appeal, with Licia’s teal hair and pose making her look like a Pokemon Hatsune Miku version. The resemblance makes sense, since the card’s artists, Nabusawa and Mochipuyo, create art for Bang Dream idols and voice actors.

Special Illustration Lycia Pokemon Card is not enough to redeem new gear

Is it a cheap buy for sales?

The new card design comes right after a leak that revealed all 64 cards in the next one Pokemon TCG Set. The set reveal has been blasted for the disappointing lack of dragon Pokemon in a collection that is supposed to be all about dragons.

Lycia is a Dragon-type Pokemon trainer, but her inclusion may have more to do with her general appeal than her trainer prowess. The special illustration card may be drawn by a different artist and have beautiful art, but it is not very different from the full-art card version of Lisia’s Appeal. This has led some in the community to question the real reason behind her inclusion as a rare card. The appeal of the character as a young, female trainer is undeniable, so she can be featured so much to compel fans to buy the deck.

The special painting version of Lisia’s Appeal will appear next Pokemon trading card game Card set release. Japan will see the cards first, when Paradise Dragona Releases on September 13. All the cards that appear in this set will likely also appear in Surging sparks When it launched in the West on November 8.
