The Golden Bachelor The star Gary Turner is not a prince as everyone thought – he is more like a scary monster from a Grimm’s fairy tale, and he really took Teresa Niss for a ride. This wolf in sheep’s clothing seemed fine enough on the surface. Gary was well-groomed and pleasant, with a poignant backstory that touched heart strings. However, when all was said and done, Gary misrepresented himself and let Teresa down.
Theresa wanted a knight in shining armor – what she got was a man who mocked her after their breakup, by wearing a “Indiana: It’s not that bad!” T-shirt. At first, he reeled her in with some tall tales. Now, she knows who he really is. She trusted him, believed the things he said, but he really didn’t want to prove his love. Yes, he married her, probably for fame, but he wouldn’t move for her sake. The great romantic and lonely widower Gary could not give his whole heart. However, he pretended to while the cameras rolled.
Gary’s romantic history was murkier than he let on
He attended after widow before appearing on the bachelor
Once upon a time, Gary was so innocent and sweet. He lost his beloved wife Toni and told the world that he remained a grandson after that, until the fateful day when he decided to throw in his hat. The Golden Bachelor Ring, to try and find love again. It seemed so romantic – a man who needed so much time to heal after his wife’s passing seemed like a loving person and a good romantic prospect. however, Gary appeared to embellish his backstory, Maybe to make yourself look good.
He really wasn’t there once the whole time. Gary allegedly had a relationship the same year his wife died – 2017. He reportedly broke up with a woman named Caroline (she used a fake name to protect her privacy while talking to The Hollywood Reporter). During the conversation, she said that she had been with Gerry for three years. Caroline spoke to the publication about her dates with Gary and said she lived with him for more than a year. Meanwhile, he was playing up his widow image to the heist for the show, said Entertainment Weekly:
“I haven’t dated in 45 years.”
It was like Gary’s The Golden Bachelor Experience was mostly about letting the world know what a great guy he was. As a Leo man, he is a natural showboat – for Leos, attention is irresistible. Therefore, Gary may have fibbed about certain aspects of his past to look better in the public eye. If he played a part all the time, just to get into the limelight, he was really a “wolf in sheep’s clothing”.
Gary played off their marital problems with his “Indiana Joke” t-shirt.
He didn’t seem to take the split seriously
Gary and Theresa divorced – neither would move for the other. However, since Gary tried to paint himself as the ultimate gentleman and romantic, it seems like he should have been the one who made the sacrifice. Instead, he stayed in Indiana, even taunting his ex with an “Indiana, it’s not that bad” T-shirt. Gary added his mocking post to Instagram, clearly thrilled to be modeling the odd top for his followers. Of course, he posed with women just to give his Instagram post a little more “revenge” energy.
What was Gary really trying to say here? That Teresa made a mistake not going over there? Maybe, but by making fun of the situation, he made it seem like she chose wisely. Someone who really loved you at some point would probably never do something like that.
When Teresa saw it, it probably stung. Yes, it makes sense that any senior wanted to allow their friends and relatives to live with a new partner. However, Teresa didn’t rub her post-split “happiness” in his face the way Gary rubs his in hers. He seems like an attention-seeker. Therefore, it is possible that Gary should be dismissed.
Gary wanted fame and he got his wish
That was probably all he wanted
Yes, he’s getting busted now, with haters baying for his blood, but ultimately, Gary appears to have one goal – fame. By appearing on the show, and getting so much publicity when he divorced Theresa, he became quite a famous man. There are constant headlines about Gerry, Theresa and their problems. It is interesting as to what will happen to each of them now that they are single.
If Clout was Gary’s goal, he achieved it. He can’t even think of playing the villain now – perhaps, the role is better suited to who he really is. He could feel like he could unmask and be himself, after a tiresome Prince Charming act that had gone on far too long. Now that Gary is a wolf in sheep’s clothing, he can roam the world, looking for new prey. Whether it’s a woman or fame, or money, Gary has options.

For a Leo, playing to an audience is the most entertaining and meaningful form of self-expression. When Gary was “performing” on The Golden BachelorHe probably loved every second of it. Even the sad and emotional scenes might have thrilled him because he knew they would get so much attention. Gary:

began to relax into his single status

People pretend on reality TV all the time. They slip into different guises to get what they want. All too often, it’s not true love that they really want. It’s something else entirely – it’s power. In America and beyond, fame is a gateway to power. Now that Gary is out of his sheep’s costume, he can leverage his fame without having to play the soft and vulnerable widower. He may present a stronger, fiercer image, which he may feel is manlier. Gary will never be seen as an angel again, and this may be just as well The Golden Bachelor Star wants it.
