The Pyro Traveler game kit in Genshin Impact 5.3 has been fully leaked and confirms previous theories and speculation that Xiangling’s reign as Pyro’s sub-DPS would end with his arrival. The Pyro Traveler is the main character’s first form not to be unlocked when entering a new region in HoYoverse’s action RPG. Instead, it is rumored that the Traveler will unlock their Pyro-aligned powers through the story arc set in Natlan, as they are listed among the new characters leaked in Genshin Impact 5.3, alongside Pyro Archon Mavuika, Citlali, and a Liyue unit called Lanyan.
HoYoverse has not officially announced the Pyro Traveler as a new playable unit, but they are expected to unlock their powers soon. Previous leaks indicated that the protagonist would gain Pyro abilities off the field, making them a useful sub-DPS unit for a variety of team compositions. At the moment, Xiangling is the best option for this role, even though there are other options such as the 5-star Dehya. Now, new Pyro Traveler leaks Genshin Impact 5.3 details their entire playkit and abilities, showing why they have the potential to surpass Xiangling after four years on the throne.
Pyro Traveler’s kit in Genshin Impact 5.3 leaked
The main character has off-field abilities
The Pyro Traveler game kit has reportedly been leaked, giving players some insight into how they will operate in team compositions and how they should be rotated during combat. The leaked information was shared in a post tagged “Reliable” about Redditand describes your active skills as well as your passive talents. Leak shows Pyro Traveler has two versions of his elemental ability. The tap version sees them enter the Nightsoul Blessing state and summon a Blazing Threshold, which follows the active character and deals Nightsoul-aligned Pyro DMG to nearby enemies in Genshin Impact at fixed intervals.
The hold version of the ability also puts them in the Nightsoul’s Blessing state, but invokes a Scorching Threshold. This effect also follows the active character, although it launches coordinated attacks, dealing Nightsoul-aligned Pyro DMG.an effect that can occur once every second. With its leaked Elemental Burst, Pyro Traveler deals Nightsoul-aligned AoE Pyro DMG to opponents and restores Nightsoul points for four seconds. These, of course, are just your active Talents. The Pyro Traveler’s passive abilities in Genshin Impact play an important role in how they are used in team compositions.
Pyro Traveler’s leaked passive talents confirm they are a sub-DPS in Genshin Impact
The character’s specialty appears to be dealing damage off the field, even though they could operate as a main DPS in C6
The leak shows that Pyro Traveler’s first passive talent is supposedly called True Flame of Incineration. Says that when they have more than 20 Nightsoul points, the attack AoE of their Elemental Skill’s Burning and Scorching Thresholds is increasedwhich could mean even more enemies will be caught in the Nightsoul-aligned AoE Pyro DMG. His second leaked passive talent is apparently called Embers Unspent. With it, after the active character within a Flaming or Scorching Threshold triggers a Burn, Vaporize, Melt, Overload, Explosion, Pyro Whirlwind or Pyro Crystallization Elemental Reaction on Genshin Impactthe Traveler recovers Energy.
Additionally, the second leaked passive Talent shows that when a nearby party member activates a Nightsoul Burst, the Traveler also recovers Energy. This is one of the few effects in Pyro Traveler’s game kit that shows that he benefits from having other Natlan characters on the team. Subsequently, it appears that Pyro Traveler will not necessarily rely on Natlan-based team compositions. Instead of, they will be able to operate in teams with several other characters, even if they lose a small Energy Regeneration benefit from their Talent as characters from other nations cannot activate Nightsoul Bursts.
In addition to their passive Talents, the leak also highlights the Pyro Traveler’s Constellations in Genshin Impact 5.3, which should be accessible to players, since the materials needed to increase levels are supposedly obtained by maximizing the tribe’s reputation in Natlan. First leaked Constellation reportedly increases active character’s DMG by 6% when a Flaming or Scorching Threshold is active. Additionally, if the active character is in the Nightsoul’s Blessing state, they will deal 6% extra DMG.
The second Constellation sees this, Within 12 seconds of using his ability, after a party member triggers a Burn, Vaporize, Melt, Overload, Explosion, Pyro Whirlwind, or Pyro Crystallization reaction on an enemy, the Traveler recovers 14 Night Soul points. Each skill use can restore up to 28 Nightsoul points. The third Constellation increases the skill’s level by three and its maximum upgrade level is brought to 15. The fourth leaked Constellation allows the Traveler to gain a 20% Pyro DMG bonus for nine seconds after using his Elemental Burst on Genshin Impact.
The fifth leaked Constellation increases Burst by three levels and increases the maximum level to 15. Lastly, the sixth Constellation in the Pyro Traveler’s leaked kit says that while they are in the Blessing of Nightsoul state, their normal, charged, and dive will be converted into Nightsoul-aligned Pyro DMG that cannot be replaced, and its CRIT DMG is increased by 40%. This latest leaked Constellation essentially turns Pyro Traveler into a main DPS if players wish to use them as such in Genshin Impact.
Pyro Traveler can replace Xiangling as a sub-DPS in Genshin Impact
Main character’s leaked abilities show he’s a viable off-field damage dealer
Although they can operate as main Pyro DPS in C6, according to the leaks, The most interesting aspect about the leaked game kit for the main character is the fact that they will apparently function as a very reliable Pyro sub-DPS.. With continuous Pyro DMG provided by his elemental ability (thus not reliant on energy, but only on cooldowns), the Pyro Traveler can activate any form of his ability and leave the field – meanwhile, the team’s main DPS can wreak havoc while the Traveler deals Pyro DMG to enemies in Genshin Impact from outside the field.
As previously mentioned, the main character who occupies the Pyro sub-DPS role in most of the game’s team compositions is Xiangling. Liyue’s 4-star character has been doing this since the game’s release four years ago, and despite the release of Dehya, who can operate as a Pyro sub-DPS, Xiangling is simply better at the job than any other character out there.. However, because of her game starter kit, she has become somewhat outdated, and players have long been waiting for a new Pyro sub-DPS out of the field. Based on the leaks, this could be the Pyro Traveler in Genshin Impact.
The leaks mention that the Pyro Traveler will be a strong unit with a power level comparable to the Honkai: Star TrailHarmony Trailblazer. Just like the Traveler, the Trailblazer in HoYoverse’s turn-based RPG also gets new kits every year and the Harmony Path unlocked in 2024 has drastically changed the meta, making them indispensable in various team compositions. If Pyro Traveler has an effect like this, the main character of Genshin Impact could become more present than ever in team compositions, in addition to being just a replacement for Xiangling.
The leaked Pyro Traveler kit appears to incentivize and reward players who trigger Pyro-related elemental reactions and this could be useful with many different types of team compositions. If combined with Kinich or Mualani, for example, the Pyro Traveler could become the team’s second most important unit.. Even though it’s not yet known how Pyro Traveler will behave, this is particularly exciting because the main character doesn’t have any exceptional kit. The Dendro Traveler is the best among them all, but it still pales in comparison to other Dendro characters in Genshin Impactfor example.
As credible as the rumors may seem, the leaked Pyro Traveler kit should still be taken with a grain of salt. The leak may be incorrect. Even if accurate, abilities are still highly subject to change as HoYoverse prepares content for version 5.3 – and this is especially true when it comes to specific stats and finer details on your kit. However, the prospect of Pyro Traveler being a sub-DPS is exciting, especially since players can finally have a good alternative to Xiangling in Genshin Impact.
