A close-up of Godzilla in Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire with glowing pink fins and eyes.

While the scar king in Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire Made for a powerful antagonist, the video above is a reminder that there is still a lot of lore that the Monsterverse has yet to explore. With Godzilla and Kong forming a reluctant partnership, now could be a great time to introduce more enemies from the franchise’s past, potentially multiple at a time.

Both Megalon and Gigan have distinctive designs and abilities, and, as a team, they would make great opponents To Godzilla and Kong. While both may certainly appear in the confirmed Godzilla vs. Kong Sequel, the success of Godzilla minus one Meaning a sequel is probably on the way for this film as well, and it would be interesting to see director Takashi Yamazaki’s take on the monsters. It is unclear who Godzilla Will be fighting next, but there are obviously some strong options on the table.
