The Day of the JackalEddie Redmayne’s new spy thriller has received a second season renewal. Based on the 1971 novel by Frederick Forsyth, which was previously adapted into a 1973 film, Peacock’s new series is reimagined in a modern political context and follows a ruthless British assassin, known only as “Jackal”, and the tenacious intelligence officer tasked with capturing him. Eddie Redmayne and Lashana Lynch lead The Day of the Jackalalongside Úrsula Corberó, Chukwudi Iwuji, Khalid Abdalla, Eleanor Matsuura, Charles Dance and Nick Blood.
