The last preview of Pedro Pascal The Fantastic Four: Getting Started look solidified why he is the perfect cast for the film. With the film being part of Marvel’s 2025 release slate, enthusiasm is growing for what was already one of the most anticipated MCU projects in the Multiverse Saga. The casting process was closely watched, so it was big news when actor Pedro Pascal was announced as the MCU’s official Reed Richards.
Pascal has had a busy few years in Hollywood, starring in critically acclaimed shows like The last of us and blockbuster action films like the recent Gladiator II. It’s no wonder Marvel jumped at the chance to cast an actor who has received a lot of attention online. Although some question Pascal’s suitability for the role of Mister Fantastic, especially after John Krasinski’s film Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness cameo early in the MCU timeline, a recent preview of the character proves he’s perfect.
Recent Photos of Pedro Pascal Showcase His Reed Richards Look
The Fantastic Four: Getting Started recently filmed in Spain, and Pascal was seen interacting with fans off set. MCU Movie News and Pedro Pascal Diary posted photos of the actor on social media, giving everyone a sneak peek at Pascal’s Reed Richards look. Although he is just in casual clothes rather than a full costume, his hair is clearly styled in the style it will be in the film. He’s sporting Reed’s signature gray hair.
Pascal’s hair is slightly curly, with a significant lock framing the front of his face. MCU Film News posted the actor’s photo next to a panel of Reed from Marvel Comics for a side-by-side comparison, and it’s hard to deny the resemblance. Considering that The Fantastic Four was confirmed to happen in the 60s, it makes sense that Pascal’s Mister Fantastic hair looks like an old-school style. Curls are a classic look from that era, so Reed should have a clean yet charming haircut like this.
Why Pedro Pascal is the perfect choice for the MCU’s Reed Richards
Many Marvel fans have strong opinions about who the MCU’s Mister Fantastic should be. Pascal may not have been on some people’s radar, but he certainly is now with the glimpses of his character that have leaked so far. There is also no doubt about Pascal’s acting ability, which has won him several awards for his diverse roles and won the hearts of viewers. He is proved he can be a leading man and that he could do well in an action sequence.
The Fantastic Four work as a team, but Reed is the group’s leader and father figure. Pascal’s recent depictions of Joel in The last of us and Din Djarin in The Mandalorian are examples of how he is familiar with the role of tough but kind fatherly leaderand his experience will certainly show in his MCU character. It also helps that Pascal aesthetically embodies the intelligent, organized hero. Especially after seeing the actor’s latest preview Fantastic Four: Getting Started Look, fans should feel confident with the direction the project is taking.
