Wes was rich

The motive seems too simple, but Netflix Outer Banks This is a teen drama show, not a supernatural one. It’s unlikely that Elizabeth’s ghost is behind Wes’ death, especially since he was strangled by a living creature. Therefore, the only possible reason for Wes’ death is that someone wanted his money and land.

Thanks to the infamous Jenrette family curse, it’s easy for the culprit to blame him for Wes’ death. Many family members have apparently succumbed to the curse in the past, including Wes’ daughter, Larissa Jeanrette. It’s possible that Wes is just Elizabeth’s latest victim – it wouldn’t be hard to imagine it that way, given the family’s history.
