Batman’s daughter with Catwoman leaves Gotham forever to join DC’s most unlikely team

The beauty of DC Comics is how it gives room to the by-products of all its shifting timelines and continuity changes. Even characters who have been reconnected come back in spectacular ways, and characters who technically never did (or should) get their time to shine.

This is exactly the case with the time-displaced Helena Wayne. Helena Wayne’s Huntress was just recently reintroduced to DC as she helped the Justice Society of America fix time – only to displace herself from her own reality. Since then, she has been a key player of the newest version of the old team, but she is still looking for a place to land and feel safe. She tried to go to Gotham, to be with her father and mother, Batman and Catwoman, but Gotham of the past is not meant for youEspecially considering her future no longer exists.

Huntress makes a sacrifice that still gives her a happy ending.

Helena Wayne has no home, especially considering Batman exiled her from Gotham to preserve the timeline. So Huntress makes a sacrifice that still gives her a happy ending: she decides to go into the distant future, the 31st century, past her own time, where she will not cause any further incursions. And with her are the friends she made along the way in the latest iteration of the JSA. Huntress is no longer adrift in time – She found her new home where she belongs.
