According to one of the US The Sandmans The latest cast members, the world of Netflix’s hit fantasy is set to expand exponentially. Continuing the story of Tom Sturridge’s dream and his heroic end, The Sandman Season 2 is set to introduce several new cast members, including Game of Thrones alum Jack Gleeson as the mischievous Puck and Douglas Booth (Pride and Prejudice and Zombies) as the drunken fairy Clurakan. Other additions to The Sandman The cast includes Steve Coogan, Indya Moore, Ann Skelly, Ruairi O’Connor, Freddie Fox, Laurence O’Fuarain, Adrian Lester, Barry Sloane, Esmé Creed-Miles and Clive Russell.
Talk to Collider, Booth spoke of his “fun” New fairy character and his onscreen sister Nuala, played by Skelly. Admitting that the secrecy surrounding the project prevents him from revealing too much about The Sandman Season 2, the actor suggested that The show’s intricate world-building has leveled off from season 1. Booth also praised series lead Sturridge, describing his continued tenure as Morpheus as “Brilliant.” Check out his comments below:
So, I play the Clurakan, and he’s a really fun character to play. I had so much fun with it. Anne Skelly was brilliant as Nuala. There is not much I can say because I have never been on a project where they are so secret, and they make you sign so many things. But what I can tell you is the world-building is brilliant. It’s a step up even from Series One. And all the additional cast is fantastic. Tom [Sturridge] is brilliant. […]
Tom is my friend. I’ve had a movie here at TIFF with him before, but he transforms, he literally floats across the set. He has it, I don’t even know where. He doesn’t hang out. You know, he’s a really friendly guy. We go to the pub and watch football every weekend, but on set he’s nowhere to be found, and he’s just out on set and floating across, and he really has a great presence. They have a great supporting cast, and it’s dark, and it’s entertaining, and it looks incredible. So, I hope you guys like it when it arrives, but it looks great.
The Sandman’s newest characters explained
Netflix’s hit fantasy is set to delve deeper into the comic’s lore
As a show in which mythological figures rub shoulders with the anthropomorphic personifications of abstract concepts like dream and despair, The Sandman Season 1 introduced viewers to a richly detailed and intricate fantasy world. With the show already crossing multiple realms and introducing some of Dream’s fellow endings, Booth’s claims of season 2’s enhanced world-building may seem rather bold. However, the show’s notably expanded cast list suggests a Much deeper exploration of the comic’s expansive knowledge.

In addition to The Sandman Season 2 introducing three new Endless in the form of Destiny (Lester), The Prodigal (Sloane) and Delirium (Creed-Miles), The series will also begin to delve into both Celtic and Norse mythology, with characters drawn from both traditions. Booth’s own Clurakan, along with his sister Nuala, both appear in the original comic’s Season of mists Rainbow and hail from the realm of faerie, or the twilight realm.
Meanwhile, Odin (Russell), Thor (O’Furain), and Loki (Fox), who also made their own comic debut during the Season of mists arc, are set to make their own appearances in The Sandman Season 2. Could this potentially indicate that Season 2 will see Gwendoline Christie’s Lucifer abdicate the throne of Hell, as happens during Season of mistsremains to be seen. However, the show’s much-expanded cast list could certainly indicate that this is the case.
